Just wondering why you are describing my experience as an 'allegation'?

Because you have no evidence to support it. And Lloyds/FOS will not uphold a complaint just based on that.

I did try to cancel the account and filled in the form but nothing was done and they now claim that they have no evidence of me filling in the form. Paid the account for about 10 years

Well you must have been happy paying the account for 10 years if it took you that long to make a complaint.
When you tried to cancel and it wasn't cancelled why didn't you complain then?.

I was sold a fee paying account in 2009 and after a couple of months I decided it wasn't what I wanted so I downgraded the account and got them to refund me what I had paid. So if you paid it for 10 years without making a complaint you can't suddenly say you never wanted it!
  • OP did you use any of the benefits of the account over the last 10 years?

You might not have claimed but for example did you use the travel insurance?
If you used their insurance (ie did not buy a separate policy) then claiming a miss-sale will be difficult.

Most of these accounts came with a different coloured card, although the Silver (at that time) did not. If you had one of the others, I'd be surprised you didn't notice the card...

You are way past the time limit (6 years from time of sale) to get anything I'm afraid. You'll have to let this go. Sorry.

Some to be helpful, others to criticise.

Not really much different to the dozens of posts that I've got £x and what do I do with it really.

Silly to reply to replies where you don't think people should have replied.
