Broadband for only 6-months

Has anyone any experience or suggestions regarding short term or 6-month broadband contracts?
I am due to move into a flat with a friend for only a short term 6-month contract. We therefore only need internet access for 6-months. The majority of providers only seem to offer 12 to 18 month contracts with high cancellation fees.
Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.

"Minimum term
The minimum term is normally 6 months (12 months for the 1TB VDSL service). Terminating early has a charge depending on how long is left on the term. For ADSL this is £15 pcm and for VDSL this is £20 pcm"0 -
Thanks to all for your suggestions0

Not true - try NowTV, freeola, and if you google those two you might find a few other companies mentioned with 1-month contracts0
