Does anyone EVER really get upto date entering all the comps posted on here?

HI All

SO over the past few days - I have been entering loads and loads of comps. Last night I decided to sort the thread into date ending. I started with E:22/01 and it took me 4 hours just to get upto all comps that end E:31/01 (and I havent even started these yet!! :o
And this was me whizzing through and either X the ones I didnt need/fancy/eligible for and ticking the ones I do.

I have my page set to 40 threads per page - I started on page 99 and ended I think on 48... But, it's like shovelling snow as it's snowing :rotfl:

Am intrigued to know if anyone EVER really gets upto date - theres just so many to enter.

Has anybody any tips to make life any easier? I obviously use roboform, have passwords saved etc.

xx

Yes, up to date all the time with the ones I want to enter and one of the many advantages is it takes less time to stay up to date than it does to enter any other way.

If I was just starting I would be entering the ones I want from the front until I ran out of time. Next visit would start from the front working back to the point reached last time, bookmarking if time was short, if there was spare time look at older ones but every visit would start at the front, then clear any bookmarked ones and after a couple of weeks there would be almost no older ones left to look at as they would either have been seen or expired.

If you struggle to enter what you want in the time available to you then either make more time and/or adjust your standards accordingly - set a minimum prize value and raise it as necessary until you are comfortably able to enter what's left and what you would really like in the time that's available - don't get caught up with multiple entry routes and or daily entry for one small prize.

Yes! All the time! I enter as them as posted, usually 8-10 pages a day - I dont do rafflecopter and dont enter for cd's / dvd's etc and get them done in about 3hr in an evening after work.

I bookmark the links from MSE into 5 folders Jan, Feb, March, April and "ending later".. this reduces the amount of comp entering per day. the bookmarking bit takes just a few minutes. so I'm always on top and usually several days ahead, just completed the 25th today

This video shows a little bit how it works, you'll see on the bookmarks bar a folder for E: 01 - January and another ending later which contains the other months folders How to create a folder in Firefox
  • Thanks for all you help - some brilliant suggestions there - I will be taking all your suggestions on board, and hopefully be a bit more organised.

I also dont do the rafflecopter ones, or cd's and books - mainly because the house is full of them too start with. :o

I love to get some words of wisdom from those of you more experienced ;) I appreciate your time and knowledge.

    Thanks so much all x

I enter in order of comps posted, not end dates, so I'm nearly always up to date - sometimes I don't come on here for a few days at a time but it only ever takes about 2-3 hours to catch up then. Most of the time I'm fully up to date to within about 12 hours.

I used to be a comps ending kinda gal lol... but I have my own little system now.

To get up to date I used to do new comps posted and comps ending then eventually it all caught up to where I just needed to enter the newly posted comps, it's much easier as end of month comps used to be a nightmare to do when I did comps ending.

I have my own list that I add twitter comps to by end date and do that seperatly.
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

Go to the bottom of the competitions page and in display options change it to thread title / ascending

then just go to the page with the date you want (will start with comps ending 1st / then 2nd/ then 3rd etc)
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
