Chance of being accepted for Amex upgrade to Platinum?

I'm sure it will be fine. As said previously, Amex are pretty good when it comes to upgrading people who have managed their account well with them.
I'm pretty sure I didn't get credit checked when I upgraded but I could be wrong. Was a while ago.
Eurostar Lounge is very nice.. but it's only yourself that will be allowed entry.0 -
So long as you have established a satisfactory payment history the upgrade should not be a problem. The main consideration will be your willingness and ability to pay the annual fee.0

Do the single person benefits (Eurostar etc) apply to supplementary cardholders?0

No decision yet as apparently conversion requests all go to the new applications team in the back office. The rep said the card "should" show up within 10 days - it seemed like there was an assumption I'd get it - I'll post back when I get something.
I'm a bit impatient/obsessed. I might call them in 2-3 days to find out if it's been approved
They did this to me, I was approved but the rep didn't say it was a new credit application. I done it from work so the call was recorded, made a compliant and got £50 off them for misleading me. They tried to claim they didn't, but I asked if he wanted to check his recoding or I can email him mine.
That was 6 years ago, not had a problem since. Great company.0 -

What specifically did they do wrong? Saying it was a conversion but doing a full search? I guess it was implied that it was an "application" but also a conversion

Letter came through today to say it's been accepted and that the card will arrive in 7-10 working days. Slower than I'd expected - conveniently could be just after my Eurostar trip -.-0

That's just them covering themselves. It's highly likely to be much sooner than that.theburningcat wrote: »Letter came through today to say it's been accepted and that the card will arrive in 7-10 working days. Slower than I'd expected - conveniently could be just after my Eurostar trip -.-0 -
Card came yesterday - speedier than expected. I noticed something odd though - "check spending power" suggests that my limit has decreased. It was about £20k and now it's somewhere below £18k. Not that it matters - but something to consider when upgrading

Now you've upgraded do you know when the £450 will be taken from your account? Has it happened already?0
