Last time the council wrote to work asking if anyone was interested so I would be tempted to ring/email asking if they need anyone. Possible dates for election are 25th Oct and 1st or 8th Nov (all Thurs) As far as I can tell the poll clerk is the one that sits handing ballot papers out all day so that is ou for me as I will be at work.

Yep up for the challenge but will be 5 mins behind you as I am still eating my sarnie ;)

ShirleyPark - Your new ratties are adorable! I love the names. I'm hoping to get 3 more this nov/dec as 2 of mine recently passed away and Nia is on her own at the moment (so i have to give her bonus affection - the big squidgy!)

Have you joined https://www.fancy-rats.co.uk ? It's a fantastic forum for all things rattie.

Those babies were part of a big rescue I did in Portsmouth at the end of August, we took out 53 adult rats, 4 litters of babies, and then 10 litters were born after that as obviouly 10 of the adult girls were pregnant. My lounge is currently covered in cages (total of 6 at the moment). Unfortunately there are so many rats in rescue at the moment that finding new homes isn't going to be that easy.

    Afternoon all

Gave the living room a big clean on Saturday so I just vacuumed through today, remembered to do the stairs though (I always forget them!). cut the grass back and front and dried one load of washing outside.
  • I called the solicitors this morning and fingers crossed the house will be mine by friday :)

I have to admit I am not looking forward to having to pay out 820 a month on the mortgage, but I guess I have the option of a lodger (or two). I am quite looking forward to living by myself again, and not having someone elses dirty socks everywhere !

As money is going to be tight I had better get back to all those things that I've slipped out of the habit of recently, like meal planning etc. Plus must get myself a mortgage pig.
