Ha, I'll leave that to your imagination :D

Is it just me or do OnePoll stop all surveys when you are one survey off getting to the payout amount? 2 days and still no survey (they were coming in thick and fast up to a couple of days ago! :(

Well at least it's not just me. I guess I will wait patiently then :)

On the plus side I just redeemed a £5 PayPal voucher from SB. I was going to select Starbucks so it could fund our occasional Starbucks treat but it looks like they would post it and as we won't be here much longer I don't want to risk losing it, so PayPal it is!

I'm not too happy with Hermes at the moment. I sold a gold pendant on fleabay, it only went for £7.50, and when I sent it I checked the exempt items and there is a picture of a watch and it says "jewellery over £250", so I thought a £7.50 pendant would be covered. The buyer contacted me last night to say it hasn't been delivered and is "being held due to damage" but Hermes says it was delivered. I contacted Hermes and they said it was lost and it's not covered as it contains precious metals. I told them that it specifies jewellery over £250 and this is under that value but they're having none of it so I've asked for a manager to call me back. The pictures they use as a quick representation clearly say jewellery over £250 so I feel they are being misleading to then say anything under £250 is also excluded if it is even part made with precious metals. I'll see what the manager says when (if) they call me back but I'm prepared to kick up a fuss about this as I feel they are deliberately being misleading. Rant over, I just wanted to air my frustration!

We've had the first removal quote back and I must say I think they are taking the Mickey somewhat. When we moved up here (from a 4 bedroom house to this 4 bedroom house) we used Britannia and they charged £864 including insurance up to £50k. Britannia up here have quoted us £2,300 with only £25k of insurance cover...they then want another £700 to pack! I couldn't believe it. I spoke to a colleague about it and my father-in-law to make sure I wasn't out of touch or that the previous price was a fluke and they were both astounded by the quote. My colleague did a costing for it and said he must be paying the removal guys more than our senior managers get :D I have to wait until Monday for the other quotes, but I'm seriously considering ringing the branch of Britannia who moved us up and asking if they'll move us down again as I can't imagine they've increased they're amounts three fold in the last 3 years.

Great news... I got my final 10p OnePoll survey!!! I should receive payment within 28 days. My new target is showing as £25 :) I am very happy with this as I suspected they might make me wait a week or two before giving me the final 10p.

I spoke to MyHermes and eventually got through to a manager. I explained how their website seemed to be deliberately misleading and as it clearly states jewellery over £250, a £7.50 necklace should be covered. The manager agreed and assured me I would receive a refund. She sent me a claims form but it said they will get back to me within 14 days. I attached a copy of the conversation where she assured me I would get a refund, so fingers crossed they'll honour it. At the end of the day, I am thankful that at worst I have lost my pendant and £10, not the biggest loss, but I am hoping it won't come to that.

I have sent a 2nd chance offer to the third highest bidder on the amethyst necklace. Rather than getting the £23 the highest bidder offered, I may end up with £17 from the third highest, but I'm not holding my breath. I've given them 3 days and then I will just relist it as a fixed price listing. I'm having a bit of bad luck with eBay at the moment :( Must list new items!

I should get the removal quote today, fingers crossed. Hopefully they will be quite a bit less than Britannia's quote. The buyers rang us on Friday evening and said that our solicitor had rung their solicitor to say 9th February might not happen. Our buyer was in a blind panic as they have to complete their sale on 2nd February and can't afford to push it past 9th February as they will be forking out to stay in a hotel for the week. I rang my solicitor this morning to enquire and she said the seller's solicitors are awaiting responses to some enquiries on the property she is buying. I told the solicitor that her house won't be built until May/June and she is staying with her parents until then so hopefully this won't prevent us from completing but she said it may be that they want to exchange contracts at the same time. She's going to ring the seller's solicitor and impress on them how important the 9th February is, so we'll see how that goes. At least they still have some time to get their answers. Father-in-law is looking over the search results today and the deeds to let us know if there is anything to concern us. I have a feeling we will have a list of questions for the solicitor as well as there seemed to be some strange caveats in the deeds that will need professional legal advice on. Again, we don't have to exchange until a few days before completion so we still have time to get the answers from her.

I have had nothing but problems over the last two or three weeks with ebax buyers and was seriously thinking of giving up its very frustrating at times .I have to say though that i have always found Mx Hermex to be very good ,they refunded me twice after problems so fingers crossed .

That all sounds very stressful to me ch4rly but you seem to cope with it all so well.I hope you get it all sorted for the 9th.

So, some potentially bad news with the house. The bottom of the chain has been extremely difficult through this whole process, digging their heels in the whole way. To cut a very long story short, they wanted to move into our buyer's house on 2nd February, but they've missed the last date to exchange for that as our buyer's solicitor have advised them not to sign until we have a confirmed date from our seller. The bottom of the chain is now talking about 9th March instead, which would suit us fine but our buyer still wants to aim for 9th February. It's now a waiting game to find out what date we're working towards, but it's quite stressful as we need the date to book the removal.
