Hummingbird necklaces sound lovely.

Hmmm, I can't seem to log into OnePoll today. It looks as though the site might be down. Is anyone else having problems?Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)

Ah, I've just been onto OP and it says the site is down for maintenance. Well that explains why it wouldn't load. Oh well, I'll keep popping back for a look.
I seem to be making an ok start at SB. I have been meeting the daily target (although I read on the SB forum that it goes up and gets a lot more difficult to reach), and I have discovered some of the ways to earn such as the Swago board and spins. Hopefully I'll get familiar with the jargon and figure out how to find codes (yesterday the forum was posting codes about soup which seemed to work, except one that had timed out, so I'll keep an eye there in case they post more codes). I also picked up YouGov. I got fed up of it a while back and stopped. I don't know why but I'm really not a fan of their surveys, but I will try doing them until I get fed up and then take another break. I haven't had anything else from Prolific either. They seemed to be like buses and all came at once and now it's quiet again. I'll keep checking back every day to see if anything else appears. I'm trying to remember that these surveys etc. are a bonus and I shouldn't expect them to be there - there are no guarantees so everything I have had so far is a bonus
I have been looking into packing services and it sounds like packing adds about £200 to the price of removal so if that's the case we'll definitely use the packing service. I have a few companies coming round next week to asses and provide quotes. I told them we're aiming for 9th Feb but that may change - they seemed to take it in their stride so I guess they're used to dates not being confirmed until later on.Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)

I was scrolling through Facebook at lunchtime today and saw a post about the old £1 still being accepted by the backs. The article was urging people to check their old purses, piggy banks etc., which I have done recently, but I suddenly remembered a piggy bank I have in the spare room so thought I'd better check it. I'm not rich, but there was £6.88 in there that I had completely forgotten about (I only really thought about it last week when I was looking at what delicate items we'd have to pack in each room), and as they say 'every little helps'! I'll pay it into the bank next time I'm passing.
I also noticed I have £18.49 on my Co-op membership card and £47.67 on my Nectar card. I think I'll save the Nectar points until I have enough to buy an Amazon Echo dot for the kitchen and when my Co-op card gets to £20 I'll give it to mum to treat herself. I did that for her with my Boots card and it seemed to cheer her up a bit. Don't get me wrong, it's not a miracle cure that will stop her feeling so rubbish about everything and so tired from everything she does, but if it takes her mind off things for a bit while she has a look round and puts a smile on her face even for just a few minutes then I'll be very happy
I've finally got round to taking photos of the dining table and chairs. I've put it on fleabay and a few pages on Facebook. I've never sold furniture before so I'll see how it goes. I might add it to Gumtree as well - again that's something I'm not really familiar with but it's worth a shot.Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)

Nice finds Charly! And £200 to pack seems very reasonable relative to the other costs of moving!
You're so thoughtful, giving your mum your Boots and Coop cards to treat herself - such a lovely idea.
Good luck with the sale of the dining table and chairs!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks MV
I've had an offer on the table but it is half of what I am asking for it so I don't really want to take the offer. I'll wait until the end of the day and see if I have any other interest, otherwise I might have to go back to him and accept the offer.
OP is back up and running and I am at £37.45 - I can almost see the money in my savings account! Hopefully if the surveys keep coming through regularly it shouldn't take too long to get to £40 and then I only have to make it to £25 next time
I just realised as well, it's the first anniversary of my thread today. One whole year and I've had such a change in attitude and we are much better off financially than this time last yearMortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)

Had a great day today. DH, BIL and I went to the park and had a fun time sliding around on the ice and playing our mobile phone game. We met up with our friends who also played and then I went to see my Dad at his nursing home. Afterwards I had a coffee and sandwich with Mum. It was nice to do something fun and relaxing with her
This afternoon I had a nap because I was feeling run down and my head had started hurting (I've been sleeping well recently) and then BIL cooked tea for us. We finished off the evening by watching the Great Muppet Caper, which DH has been trying to get me to watch for quiet a while. Overall a lovely Saturday!
I've had quite a bit of interest for the table and chairs but so far no-one has committed to buying it. I have had one couple who said they would like to come and see it on Monday so that's positive, but the rest have just been asking if it's still available and then not responding.
I'm still awaiting payment on one of the items I sold on fleabay last Sunday. I've messaged the winning a bidder a few times to see if she is still interested as I can either wait for payday etc. if she still wants it or offer it to the second highest bidder if she doesn't. It'll be a week tomorrow since the auction ended so I've asked her again to please confirm if she wants it and said if I don't hear back I will assume she is no longer interested and offer it to the next person. I'm aware that the longer I leave it the more likely it is that the other person will say they don't want it. It's a shame too because it sold for £23 so I was hoping they would pay.
Fingers crossed, the electrician should be coming tomorrow. Let's hope he does this time and that he doesn't find any major issues!Mortgage: Mar 2018 -£300,000 / Jul 2021 -£255,000 / Oct 2024 -£172,835 (1.27% Interest until Feb 2027)
