Virgin media moving home

Options
My 12 month, broadband-only contract has a week or so left and I'm now moving home this weekend at very short notice. I pay £33.24 a month but I notice that new customers are offered the same package for £22pm for the first year. Is it likely that VM will give me this discounted rate if I transfer my account, or should I just give notice, let it run out and apply for a new account at the new address?

I would imagine that you have to have had a 12 month break between to be classified as a new customer, however if you have an other half you could get them to apply in your new house.

If not then you could always phone VM & tell them you are cancelling your contract (do you have to give 31 days notice like sky?) & when they ask why, explain you're moving & that Sky/BT/AN OTHER are offering better deals for new customers & see what they can do.

    As above really .
You will be a new customer in new premises and able to take any supply .But that would require you to pay off the current contract with VM .
Do VM supply the new premises .

Use the comparison sites to price up some new deals .
