You should be telling the management company what to do and that they have disregarded your rights, not 'asking them to cancel'.

Look what this person achieved and the sort of wording to use:

  • I would like to understand what my next steps as I'm concerned that the charge will increase each time the letter is ignored.

I have been reviewing my lease in details and it clearly says:

A right to park an Authorised Vehicle on a Visitor Parking Space on a first come first served basis for a period not exceeding 24 hours at a time and to use the electric car charging facilities thereon (if any) subject to paying for the cost of electricity used and in accordance with any Estate Regulations issued relating thereto

They say the issue is: "Not parked within bay markings. Not parked correctly within the marking of the bay or space." My car is a authorised car and it was parked within a charging bay which was within the marking bays.

So your lease includes no such made up rules; you have primacy of contract. The Deep gave you a link that explains all of this in post #7 (the third link explains residential parking cases).

No-one told you to ignore the whole thing; so what about the sum of money, it can't randomly increase out of all proportion, they can't just make it £500!

Have you read the other dozens and dozens of residential parking ticket cases on this forum, including the one linked which shows you the next steps. Search the forum board (NOT the whole of MSE, not top right)for 'UKPC residential' or 'UKPC own space' and choose 'show posts' and read the results from 2016 or 2017, nothing older.
