Plumbing and Drainage Cover

Hi all,
I have lived in my house for 5 years with no problem, but every so often, Yorkshire Water send out a letter asking if I want to take out Plumbing and Drainage Cover @ £35.88 a year (£2.99 a month)
Do you think this cover is worth getting?

As with nearly everything that you insure.

What are the chances of a problem? and could you afford the consequences if things go wrong.

I have lived in the house that I live in for over 50 years and never had a problem with either.

You will have to decide yourself.

I used to have that cover but they was always wanting me to take out other cover for electric, underground mains water pipe, pest control, even wanted me to cover the short pipe from the gas meter to the boiler.
In the end i took out a cover all policy with the house insurance for about £50.

Ive got a ploicy with Swinton, covers pluming , drainage,electrics and evern covers the heating and boiler, cost £35 for the year, already had 2 parts replaced on the boiler, its meant to be £59 but they will discount it if you ask
