Receiving BT Mobile Discount By Mistake

I cancelled my BT broadband/phone when I moved house 18 months ago, but kept my BT mobile because I was still in contract for that (12 months). I previously received a £5 per month discount because I had BT broadband and they told me when I cancelled I would no longer get this discount. However, they're still giving me the discount 18 months later despite me not having broadband with them.
To be honest (or dishonest as the case may be!), I've made no effort to call them to fix the mistake. My question is, could there be any comeback or claim for back payments if they discover the problem further down the line?

I recently asked BT for the dates my contracts end. They gave a common date which I knew to be wrong. When I queried this I was told I had to get the mobile date from BT mobile not from BT accounts. It looks like they may be a bit disjointed. Whether or not this will work in your favour who knows. You are not entitled to the discount though.
I know I am not entitled to the discount, but as the incorrect billing is purely down to them then can they legally come back to me for 18 months of back payments? And if I refused to pay then what's the worst that could happen? Could this be classed a credit default?0 -
1) Possibly.
2) They might sue (but more likely to write it off as their mistake).
3) Only if they demand payment and you refuse.
I'd stop advertising it and forget about it. I have an energy company who neglected a final bill (in their favour). I did call (not to tell them it was in their favour) but was told it would come out (even though I suspected it wouldn't). Do you think I called again and drew their attention to it? If they do months later I will disupte, expect them to write it off, complain if they don't and (eventually) when all else has failed (unlikely) pay it.0
