............ and on a one year old thread!0

At the time I didn't own a PC and only had limited use of a public one (library). It was not a foreseen fault where the option to source info at leisure could be enjoyed.
It was a roadside breakdown whereby the car was recovered to a local garage who then passed it on to the repairing garage. The engine was ordered over the phone via yellow pages etc. The recovery company and insurers wouldn't provide a curtesy car even though it was through their misdiagnoses the car broke down in the first place.
This meant we had to urgently source a re-engineering company to do the work because of reducing delays and car hire fees. If you read the post fully you we understand more. Obviously all the promises of a quick replacement engine "alleged in stock" and the deposit returned was all a load of bull.
The engine took weeks to be delivered, arrived with a faulty oil seal requiring more expense to repair and replace, (only found after engine replaced and started) and the deposit withheld.0 -
This is a message received from Engine Engineering Paisley complaining about my posts.
Please note.
My posts are true and accurate, they are my personal experiences at the hands of Engine Engineering Paisley, everything mentioned can be shown to be true and is very factual. It is an attempt I believe from them to get my post withdrawn and excuse it by suggesting I am a competing trade trying to pinch their business.
THIER ATTEMPT TO HAVE MY POSTS REMOVED

“This comment is defamatory as is contains serious, untrue accusations or is simply this users opinion not supported by any facts. We believe this post has been designed by one of our competitors to damage the good name of our business in the marketplace to divert business away from the company. “They but the con in Reconditioned” implying we cheat or trick customers to believe something that is not true, when in fact we are a well established business providing services to people all over europe. “They will never get back to you and you will never get any resolve..” - this is this users opinion not supported by fact, we believe this is designed to try and give a false impression of our customer service team. “They have been raided by Police several times..” - factually inaccurate, not supported by any facts. “They have been closed down by trading standards several times..” - this is a complete fabrication not supported by any facts, Engine Engineering actually works very closely with trading standards.”

We believe this post has been designed by one of our competitors to damage the good name of our business in the marketplace to divert business away from the company. “What they do is say your engine is not fit to use and withhold the refund. They will either say one part is not serviceable or some other reason, but they will find fault regardless and not pay out” - This comment reflects badly on the good name of our company, it is actually inaccurate and can not be supported by any facts. “They never refund or admit liability, if you suggest going to the county court they will tell you that all their equipment including tools etc are owned by their other companies and they have no assets so sue away.” - Again, this comment is a complete fabrication not supported by fact.”

We believe this post has been designed by one of our competitors to damage the good name of our business in the marketplace to divert business away from the company. “..you'll find that the workmanship is so bad that there is no point in wasting your time putting it in your car..” - This comment is factually incorrect and is designed to tarnish the good reputation of our business and workmanship or simply the user's own option not supported by any facts. “..one whereby they used silicon instead of a head gasket on a Citroen Belingo..” - factually incorrect and not supported by any facts or proof “..found that they have done this on a regular basis over the last 10 years “ - factually incorrect, user has made this assumption and the business has only been going for 5 years in total. “They are also behind with their payments to HMRC & this is money they have already deducted from their employees” - This is a complete fabrication, not supported by any facts and highly damaged the reputation of the company with malice. “most staff know you are being ripped off and they actually assist doing it by being evasive and not helping, to a degree they are in hand with management which makes them just as guilty to ripping you off as their boss.” - factually incorrect, the users opinion supported by no facts”

This content and posts is still searchable on the net which helps anyone trying to get info on this company.
The thread might be old but its still valuable if it helps just one person avoid all the dilemma and upset I had to bear. It will also save them a lot of money.0 -
You should have searched the web before dealing with them NOT AFTER.

I would stop digging if I were you and pursue your grievance properly.0

I have a 55 Plate Range Rover and stupidly chose these {text removed by MSE Forum Team} to do my engine rebuild.
Long story short, They charged my £6570 in total and all new parts came to £1750 of that.
I made sure I paid 90% by Credit Card so there was come back despite them protesting massively that I should bay by BACS or EFT. I will let the CC company HSBC use their powers to destroy these {text removed by MSE Forum Team}.
My car lasted exactly 1000.03 Miles before dying of the SAME ISSUE IT WENT IN WITH! Notwithstanding what all the other people here have written, I can add that an RAC inspection and photographic proof that they charged me for new parts and fitted old, they also charged me Credit Card Fees witch is Illegal.
They change their Directors like you or I do our underwear. Please type Companies house into your Browser and search for the two names listed. Currently it is {text removed by MSE Forum Team} was a *{text removed by MSE Forum Team}. {text removed by MSE Forum Team} {text removed by MSE Forum Team} currently has 10 "limited Liability" companies registered at the premises and swaps between them to avoid legal troubles.
Trading standards have been informed and I can say that throughout my contact with these rip off merchants ALL THE STAFF KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON AND ARE IN ON IT. {text removed by MSE Forum Team}
Sadly this is a matter for trading standards and a civil action which I will bring myself.
I hope these {text removed by MSE Forum Team} get a visit from Kharma soon.0 -
I have had exactly the same problems. They took 6 weeks to send my engine back, even though I was promised a replacement, They kept the surcharge because "my engine" couldn't be fixed which was clearly a lie as it was now sitting under the bonnet of my van. Now the refurbished engine is not working properly and they have asked that I send the engine back to them!!
Incurring more cost and the very good chance that I won't get the engine back at all.
This company, in all of its guises and names need to be stopped.
Can anyone give me advice on small claims court?0 -
Hi JasonAngry,
How are you going about legal action?
Engineered Engines, as i know them, wouldn't let me pay by credit card, alarme bells should have been ringing then. I won't do this with any company ever again.0
