Tiling kitchen window sill, advice needed

New kitchen almost in, just splashback and windowsill to tile.
I've picked Athens Brick Mosaic tile black/greys comes on a mesh backing. I wanted tiles to cover large windowsill and then follow on down back of sink/taps meeting worktop. I thought they would look nice all in one, but kitchen fitter is suggesting a brushed steel edging on windowsill , but I'm thinking it will break up the flow of the brick pattern. What will look best. Can it be done or does it mean a row of grout where it bends onto wall. Hope you can follow what I mean. Thanks for any advice.

If the tiles go down to the worktop at the back of the taps, check if they are waterproof. I had this once in a previous house, water splashed on the edge of the tiles over time made them crack/crumble at the edge. The steel edging sounds like it would prevent this. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

if you don't, it's either a row of grout or it's the edge of the top tile....steel edging will look much cleaner, more professional.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

I'm leaning toward the steel. Dont forget, kitchen fitter has presumably years of experience in what works and what doesnt.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

I have tiles and brushed steel trim on my window sill. It looks great :-)"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Thanks for the advice, looks like a trim it is.
Keith969 yes they do have to be sealed with a spray as some of the mosaic tiles are porous, but not all.....unsure how long that lasts, whether needs redoing over time0 -
We recently had a new kitchen including tiling done.
Our tiler used a plastic 1/4 round edging in a colour that complemented the tile colour. This was fitted to all horizontal and vertical edges. It looks very nice.
When the house was built about 12 years ago, similar plastic white edging was used for the white tiling in the bathrooms.
The edgings are available in a wide range of colours so you are not restricted to brushed steel.0 -
I have tiled external corners where the tile edge is on show, but only when the colour is similar to the tile colour, otherwise I would use a trim. I'd also use a trim where it is likely to get knocked, i.e. if the window was in front of the kitchen sink.0

I would definitely go for the edging. I had a kitchen window sill done without an edging and I hated it till the day I sold the house!0

What colour is your worktop? We had a left-over piece of our worktop made into a new window sill. There was enough of the round-edged worktop left to use. It has been admired by visitors. Really easy to keep clean.0

Premier Twilight 033 - I would of considered doing that but I love the Athens Brick grey/black Mosaic tiles I've just bought, thanks for the suggestion though, all advice appreciated0
