  • Must be an issue with non staff abusing the carpark. Sign is totally illegal, I think the gated active elderly flat complex my other half grand parents own (a flat) has/had a clamping sign last time I went there, no one was ever towed by the management committee are a pretty aggressive bunch. Moan about pedestrians using the electric vehicle gate as unnecessary wear and her grand paid towards the up keep of the lift (even though his flat was ground floor) so he used to pop upstairs in it sometimes and they moaned about that.

You'd think but there are ANPR controlled barriers along with manned security cabins at each entrance. The barriers will only open for those registration numbers on the database (i.e. permit holders).

I think an anonymous tip off about the illegality of the signs might be the plan, they are notoriously difficult so I'd imagine if they knew who I am both my passes would be revoked. Either that or I'd get 'towed' :rotfl:

Nothing illegal about the sign. They only need to be in an ATA if they want to access keeper details from the DVLA. Anyone can 'manage' car parks without the need to belong to an ATA - seems this outfit is doing its management simply by putting up a perfectly legal sign, which threatens illegal remedies. Only if those remedies are dispensed does illegality come into play.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
