It seems perfectly clear to me.
"Garage suggested a fuel filter"
"I saw no improvement".
I think the past tense of 'saw' makes things clear.
I think you need to be realistic here, the OP's posts suggest English is not their first language, but I don't think there's any reason to assume that the garage didn't replace the fuel filter as they suggested. Quite the opposite, in fact.0 -
it's just the way I read it then0

Yes they did replace the fuel filter and the bill was a hefty £70.
Plus, I paid £30 just to read the DTC codes! (there was none).
Anyone know a good garage in South Essex North/West Kent area? I live in Grays0 -
Guys, I think it's the transmission, but how can I find out and fix, if it doesn't show problem all the time?0

Transmission issue could possibly manisfest itself like so:
If the automatic transmission is selecting incorrect gear i.e. lower gear than you should be in then the engine/transmission noise and revs will increase. If it is selecting a higher gear than what it should be in then the engine noise will either stay the same or lessen and the revs will drop a little.
Check for this when it starts mis-behaving.0 -

No it doesn't select higher or lower gear that it should.
It just sometimes (not always) when I start the car, I put it on drive or reverse and it doesn't engage and after few times it cranks, it doesn't move smoothly. But after that, it gets okay and I can travel ok.0 -
Guys, could it be the cold weather that freezes the transmission fluid?
How can I topup transmission fluid? thanks!0 -
If your car has a Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor it could be that playing up. I had one on my diesel Sharan. I used one road regularly with traffic lights on a hill. Pulling away was always easy. Suddenly there was large drop in power. Googling indicated this as a possible cause. As a replacement sensor was cheap, and the unit easily accessible, I DIYed. Solved in 5 minutes.
I was going to suggest MAF too. Often won't throw error code but gives symptoms provided. Easy to fix tooRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
