Am I the only person without a microwave?

I don't have a microwave and I don't want one either. My Mum keeps offering to buy me one, but I really don't want or need one.

I have a microwave and I am planning on throwing it out, it is fully working but I never use it. I used to use it mainly for defrosting but I recently got a new cooker with a defrost function and I much prefer it. I also very rarely use it for reheating but I can do that on the hob. It takes up so much room and I don't think the amount I use it justifies the loss of worktop. I will survive

One thing you can do more easily in a microwave, that I do often, is to "cook" 1-2 tablespoons of peas. Nobody's going to tell me they do that on a hob, in a saucepan! They only need 15 seconds.

Or 1/4 of a carrot.

I have a microwave but its only used to reheat hubbys dinners as he never eats when its just been cooked.

If i lived alone i would get shot of it.

We don't have a microwave either, people are often surprised...some downright confused by that fact! I had one about 15 years ago but only used it for defrosting things or heating milk for coffee. So when it stopped working I realised I'd rather have the free space

We too are microwaveless. The toaster, the kettle and the oven are the only electrical appliances we have or need in the kitchen.
