Nightmare! brought a caravan on HP can anybody help?

Sorry I'm new to this, hope I've posted in the right place!I will try and keep this as brief as possible, really looking for advice.
I brought ( on HP )a used caravan from a holiday site in Aug 2016. ( currently still sited there) after two days we realised many faults which we we not told about and we're not visible at the time of purchase. These include
Faulty fire
Faulty cooker hood
Faulty outside lights
Faulty bolier ( started leaking after 1st week )

These are just a few of the faults found.
we contacted the park (within two days)and we're told all of our issues would be dealt with.
Roll on 4 months later....... and after several requests to have the faulty items fixed , NOT ONE THING has been done!!!
Phoned the finance company( Dec 16) who are now dealing with the complaint. Now we have made a complaint the parks manager and sales staff have refused to talk to us about this as we are looking to sell back to the park. ( out of pocket but for an easier life ! )
It's a nightmare we have come to the point where after 4 months we do not want the caravan any more.
So currently waiting for the finance company to make their decision regarding our complaint.
I'm so upset was looking forward to having a lovely holiday home and it's been such a nightmare we saved so hard for our deposit which was 6k! The finance agreement isn't cheap either. Really feel let down.
Has anyone been through this? Is there any advice?
Many thanks :)

How was the caravan advertised? Did it mention boiler, fire etc... being in good working order?

If so, I would send them a letter before action giving them 28 days to fix all the things misdescribed to a satisfactory standard before you will them get three quotes to have the items fixed yourself, get them fixed, and take them to court for the cost plus your expenses.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

If the electrics were sold as untested , I'm not sure that you have a case

Thank you so much for your replies we brought the van from a well known big holiday site company. There were no mention of any faults and as far as I am aware everything was was tested and passed. Although we were given no paperwork ( we weren't even given a welcome pack until after 8 weeks of us being there )
There was no handover either, we were just given the keys and told to enjoy. We've been on at them now for over 4 months to get things fixed and now the finance company are involved they are saying they'll be fixed in 2 weeks.

We feel so badly treated, and now that we have complained to the finance company our holiday site manager refuses to have any dealings with us.

We really don't want the van now and would feel very uncomfortable staying on a site that have treated us so bad.
I just really don't know what to do for the best.

Do you have legal cover on your home insurance? You need to get legal advice

Thank you! I'm checking out these links now. I'm thinking it might be worth phoning citizens advice also.

It's really not unusual for a company to refuse to communicate with you while involved in any legal challenge though.
I think you need to see a solicitor.

As far as I'm aware there is no legal challenge ( as yet ) it is just a complaint being looked at by the finance company. I'm really hoping it won't come to having to go to court. The finance company told us to try and sort things with the park manager so I'm confused as to why they are making it more difficult for us.

When I say sort things out I mean we want to sell the caravan back to the site which we were told they had to have first refusal. We told them we would drop the complaint but there not interested. So now I'm going full force with my complaint, just worried about what the outcomes could be.

So , I'm puzzled why you approached the finance company, if not to get your money back?
I see you left it quite late to contact them, too.

It sounds like you need to make your mind up. Either you want to sell the caravan back, or you want to get the issues resolved.

Personally I think if you want to sell it back you're being foolish. Yes, it might have issues, and they may have upset you, but there's still plenty you can do to get them resolved - as you've already shown.

Also, is it a 12-month site? Yes 4 months is far too long, but it's possible that could be while the site is closed for most of that time.

Of the issues you listed, the fire and boiler are significant and need fixing first. Could you get quotes to have them repaired, and get it done yourself then claim the money back from the park? The cooker hood and outside light are more minor so maybe need sorting further down the line.
