Loading Travel Card with AUS Dollars

My granddaughter is going to Sydney soon for a 3 week holiday and has 1000 AUS dollars in cash. Is there a travel card she can load this money onto? Preferably one that won't cost the earth each time she makes a purchase or withdrawal. Each card we've looked at is offering rates to exchange from £ to $ but like I said, she already has the money. She would just prefer not to carry the cash around with her.
Thanks

No doubt AUD prepaid cards are available in Australia, but the possibility of loading cash is less likely. A$1000 in large bills is quite compact, easy to conceal discretely and take care of.Evolution, not revolution0
