  • Doesn't seem to say it has a softsearch - it just says apply now.

Anyone shed any light on it?

The application is an eligibility check and not the full application. After completing I got ...
Application reference number: [CENSORED BY MOI]

Thank you for completing the eligibility check for an Amazon Platinum MasterCard.

We’re delighted to tell you that based on the information you’ve given us, we believe we will be able to offer you an Amazon Platinum MasterCard with a 24.9% APR (variable).

Please note that this is our view based on the application you have provided so far. This could change once we have your full application.

and a "continue" button to ...er ... continue to the full application. I didn't continue and hit "Cancel Application" which resulted in a "Are you sure you want to decline?" pop-up and an email from Amazon UK explaining that my credit rating will not be impacted and I can apply again at any time and a "We have cancelled your application" page with a "Return to Amazon" button.

Have you tried the soft check to see if it says your eligible?

    Nice looking card.
Not as nice as the card that Amazon.com (USA) customers get, which is made of metal!
  • Not had a decline email yet.... but then my last declined Aqua app I never got an email either - I think they've had enough of me!!
  • Even if you do get acceptance for teh amazon card, customer service and payment systems are very bad and will not respond even if you do get hold of a human. And Amazon don't want to know there brand is being used to deliver a poor customer experience
