I expect it will be a sort of golden colour and have the word 'Aqua' on it.

    So helpful :T

I guess that's why it's contactless, then, or it would stick too far out of the card terminal.
  • I wonder how long you need to have been with them to get this.... or whether it's time & limit linked??

I have had my account 20 months with a £4450 limit. Don't know what triggers an upgrade to gold card. I have always paid in full each month. Not even spending a lot on it each month.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Keeps on coming up doesn't it. Probably significant that no-one has yet posted any link to information about it either on the aquacard site or on the newday site. In fact the only Aqua Gold card I can find is from Kotac Mahindra Bank in India:
    http://www.kotak.com/personal-banking/cards/credit-cards/aqua-gold-card.html

Unless anyone can post such information I have to conclude that those who post about the Aqua Gold Card are talking out of their ... er ... well, you know what I mean.

Lastly, when I had an Aqua Advance card I received several offers of promos involving lower interest purchases and Balance Transfers but none of them involved an upgrade to a Gold card.

Looking forward to that proof being posted!
  • Thanks, 12 months isn't too long then!

Anyone got one with lower limits? I've got £900 at the moment, presumably it'll be upped next month for my month 4 review/increase, but I don't expect it to go above 2k until my bankruptcy is older. I spend about 3/400 a month, will always pay in full

Got reward already, but the contactless would be pretty decent.
  • Had a bad experience with Aqua while signing up - eventually had to go to the Ombudsman to get them to fix my credit rating they'd made a mess of! If you want to match the 0.5% cashback, Nationwide Select does a good job - worked seamlessly for me!

    But only on Sterling purchases.
