You'll be pleased to hear I didn't burn my Camembert Filo pastry parcels, which ended up being ok but I don't think I'd go to the palaver of making them again!
Glad you didn't burn them shame they weren't more then ok after the effort of making them

Not much cooking here today as unfortunately I had a Meniere's flare up which always side-swipes me. I thought I'd picked up my Dad's bug but thankfully not. :D Apart from dealing with my online delivery I've been in bed snoozing but just had a bowl of soup and a buttered crumpet which hit the spot! Plans for corned beef hash tonight have been put on hold and it will be something I can bung on a tray and/or nuke if I'm hungry later. At least I've only myself to please but one of days when it would be nice to have someone sort dinner out and make cups of tea. Hopefully back to "normal" tomorrow :)

One MSE tip for us loo roll hoarders. Now is the time to start saving the innards for use as starter pots for your runner beans or peas, one or two beans per innard, grow on window sill & plant the whole lot in spring

    The cardboard rots away

Tonight is kippers boiled in bag, hoarded YS in freezer since January 2015, not sure if it will be instant mash & peas with them, or perhaps make a sarnie with them? Someone I know said he made kipper sarnies, never tried that so why not?

I made a quick loaf in the Panny BM this morning, it was peeing down & just CBA to go out just for bread, should count as homecooking to use in a sarnie, kipper or otherwise

Yep start my peas/beans and sweetpeas in the loo roll innards:)

I'm found of kippers flaked through a portion of packet savoury rice with a chopped hard boiled egg on top. Not quite kedgeree but darn tasty :D

Of course (in my opinion anway) BM bread counts as home cooking ;)

Sorry to hear your are not well caronc but soup and crumpet sounds like a real comforter. Get well soon :)

Out for a work lunch today which consisted of steak and kidney pie and chips with a cheeky glass of wine at a Hilton hotel. Fortunately paid for by the client as it was £16 for the meal and £9 for the glass of wine. How ridiculous is that but clearly they get away with it somehow

I know i have had my main meal but I will probably sneak some cheese and crackers in later with another glass of wine ...may as well now eh :rotfl:

Kippers .......mmmmm love just added to must buy list :)

£9 for a glass of wine - someone please show me a darkened room where I can get over the shock. Just as well someone else was paying but yikes unless it was a very, very nice wine that a hell of a mark up. £27 a bottle even allowing for 60% generous mark up did it taste like a wine you'd pay £12 for a bottle of?

Just looked apparently lots of place use twice x wine cost (without VAT) +£9 to set price so more than 60% mark up. Still I suppose with VAT my figure above wasn't too much off
