whoops. Can of worms opened. Worms on toast anyone? I think it is often because some posters cannot be bothered starting their own threads, so other defined threads get hijacked, it is the easy option

Food this evening, cba toast and marmite. I just have to eat something crunchy. Had a fresh pineapple slice earlier and a piece of still frozen cake

would be good to know if this thread has moved on which I am told it has...by someone who rarely posts on here :rotfl:

I like posting on a cooking for one thread and will disappear pretty quickly once it becomes a cooking for me and my other half :D

    Afternoon everyone,

I had a snoozy afternoon so seems I missed the debate! Yes I started this thread for folk who in the main CFO:).

Today has been fairly wintry and cold I do wish Spring would arrive, still a good excuse to have mince and tatties tonight;). Mince is from the freezer and mash from last night so more re-heating for one than CFO tonight :D. No toast today as I've run out bread, though did have a toasted muffin for breakfast and a seeded roll at lunch time so I still had my "bread fix"

Back again, Windoze has updated since last posting, and pork chop with trimmings duly scoffed, the half a pie& custrd awaits my attention later this evening

I'm not sure on tomorrow food, like many of us oneskis I have plenty of food available, jsut not sure how the fancy will take me, which is why I sort of hope a YS bargain will make my mind up, but drew a blank in Asda today, so unless it changes it will be a pie that was for Christmas and the fresh veg I bought on offer

    Or maybe toast

OMG, I've made a HUGE and SERIOUS error .... I like it hot, so grabbed one of these
    http://groceries.iceland.co.uk/iceland-takeaway-atomic-chicken-vindaloo-375g/p/56051

Shop labels that talk of hot are never hot.

OMG ... I can't eat it .... I'm dying ... I can't breathe....my tongue is hanging out and I'm deep breathing to try to get air on the inside of my mouth, I've drunk a litre of cold drinks and still the pain's there.

I've been hiccuping and sniffing ... and panting ...and the pain doesn't go away.

I'm going to have to bin it....

I only bought it because it was in the reduced section, half price ...looked a bargain. NEVER again.

Thank GOD I bought a pack of their choc ices too ....which I've only just remembered.... hope eating this sorts it out.

I never have yoghurt in the fridge; never have done ....and probably won't. It creeps me out ... "live culture" .... ewwww, sounds like wiggly worms and maggots.

Pain's subsiding now.... one choc ice down :)

I didn't say it had 'moved on', I said:
Erm - I think you'll find that this thread has already moved (many times) all over the place and very, very far from just talking about 'cooking for one'.

... and it has moved all over the place. In the 155 pages of this thread I've taken part in discussions on:

    - talk radio / radio in the kitchen
    - child-free status
    - the marvels of plastic boxes (and Lock & Lock vs cheaper copies)
    - beach huts
    - Electric sockets and maximum loads
    - extra spicy food

That's as well as all the banter; but the thread always naturally returns to cooking for one... problem is therefore non-existent IMO.

I do, but more often than not, don't bother CFO.

Just me here, has been for years....hence why I don't bother cooking...toast is easier.

I like this thread and I see no place here for disputes...Either you are CFO or not, but CFO brings a multitude of issues to bear, generally misunderstood by households with more than one. There are plenty of threads for others/couples...why delve into and disrupt this one, if you aren't alone? :D

Everyone is welcome, but imo, judgement isn't :) and the thread is bound to venture to other topics...most threads do and it's unusual if they don't :D

I skim read the earlier posts as I am currently worried sick about potentially having no job...and being a oneski..there is no other income I can rely on...:(

I sometimes think people should experience, for a significant amount of time, the reality of things before they boldly state their opinion.

Got my coat and will say no more :)

    G'night oneskis :A

ETA: I'm having baguette and cheese yet again tonight

karcher - I can completely understand your worry as I said last week my job of 33 years is coming to end and yes an anxious time if you're a onesksi. I hope things work out ok:grouphug:
