Thanks for all the fantastic replies, we've looked at these areas for houses and found a few options to look at!
Still really like Yeadon but seems out of our price range, at the moment one in Morley and one in Gildersome are taking our fancy0 -
Bingley, Eldwick (village on the outskirts of Bingley), Menston, Otley.
Skipton and Ilkley aren't a million miles away, and really pleasant (Ilkley is like a miniature Harrogate, complete with Betty's Tearoom!) - but house prices are correspondingly higher. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
I lived in Stanley, Wakefield (north of Wakefield) and that is a nice area. Plus less than 2 miles from the M62 and 2.5 miles from the M1. The shops area down Lake Lock Road still looks villagey.
Had a quick look on RM and you can get a 4 bed detached with £200k! Your 3 bed semi is around £140k-170k.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Good suggestions, I'd add Lightcliffe and Norwood Green to the list too.0 -
