I applied for the mbna 43month transfer offer. I was 100% pre approved and arranged for some transfers at the time of application. This was 7 working days ago. 9 actual days...
Since then I've heard nothing. I've not had my card through, no literature from them, and the transfers haven't gone through.
Has anybody else applied? How long did it take for everything to be set up for you?

I closed my MBNA Balance Transfer card not long after opening it. I tired to make a transfer and they kept trying to put me through security. Must have spoke to someone about 4 or 5 times asking me the same questions and they would always say they'll put it through.
In the end I couldn't be arsed and wrote to them to close the account down.
Chances are you'll need to call them and confirm your details etc. I can understand people wanting to be thorough to detect fraud but for me it took the mick.
Never had problems with any other card provider.0 -
I applied and was accepted for the same offer. I'm not sure how MBNA works but usually if you input the balance transfer you want to make at application stage, the transfer isn't actually initiated until you receive the card and activate it.
I assume this is the case here as you still haven't received the card and transfer hasn't went through yet0 -

Hi I applied for the same offer last week.
Received pin in the post after 4 working days (6 actual days). Got emails to say balance transfers had been done (inputted info at application stage) after 5 working days (7 actual days), yet I am still waiting on the card itself to come. I am unable to register online/log in and see any details of what's going on until the card arrives. Frustrating!0 -
I have been a regular customer of MBNA. When I apply I never do any transfers on application only when I have received my card on my account is up and running online. Normally the transfer is fast in two working days but....sometimes the transfer will get deferred for fraud checking but they should contact you and after a few security questions will complete the transfer. I have not normally had a problem with them and they always give good limits and regular offers.0

I opened a new account late last year. I have an email saying my application has been accepted and and another saying my MT has been processed 10 days later. The money actually hit my account the day before the second email arrived. From memory the MT actually happened before the card arrived.0

Update to say my card arrived this morning so from application to receiving card and completed transfers it's been 7 working days. Hope that helps a bit.0

Thanks for he replies everyone.
I received my PIN on Saturday morning (8 calendar days from application) and hoping my card will arrive today or tomorrow.
I'm not sure I'd get another MBNA card again, but at least the transfer offer is good (when it eventually arrives)0 -
I've just been accepted for the new MBNA 0% card...got the acceptance email yesterday and my cards PIN today. I currently have a Tesco CC with £4000 on it that I'm hoping to transfer to the MBNA CC but there was no mention of what credit I'd be given on the new card. I put down that I wanted to transfer £4000 so fingers crossed it'll allow it!
Did it take long for your card to arrive?0 -
I had my application approved last Monday online and still haven't received either PIN or card. BT also still not through to my barclaycard yet either.0
