The point is that the vast majority of private tickets fail on points that have little if anything to do with what actually happened - or the cuplability of any driver.
Instead they most often fail on a number of wider issues that apply no matter if you parked properly or not. So it is always worth considering a challenge even if you do think you don't have good reason. You nearly always do.0 -
Thank you for your response. I was not aware of that as I have luckily not had to deal with a situation like this before.
I appreciate the help.0 -
Once again - you don't even have the decency to explain why....you're just happy to shout at someone new in the forum.
No doors need to be slammed....you just need to be ignored from now on. There are clearly others who are happy to provide some help.
Enjoy being bitter0 -
have no cause to appeal the ticket as I exceeded the time on the ticket and accept I accept the fine.
It is not a fine, and you have no cause to accept it. It is probably considerably in excess of what you would pay in a council car park, the paperwork is unlikely to conform to that which the law requires, as is the signage. Also, the parking company must show that they have a valid contract with the landowner.

Still want to pay them?0 -
Thank you for your help. No desire to pay this company given the advice provided on this forum and it is clear that I should as a minimum contest/appeal the ticket.
For context - the only parking tickets I've ever had in a 20 year driving career were from counsels in clear cut situations - so very new to this.
Current situation is as follows:
1) We have left 2-3 voice mails at the operator's designated phone number (this was done naively before visiting this forum)
2) Voice mails gave the ticket number, a name and confirmed a desire to pay
Would this prejudice our appeal in any way?
Many thanks0 -

Quick response to The Deep.
Thank you for your help in the first paragraph, this forum has raised my awareness of an issue I have never had to deal with before. I am fortunate not to have been in this situation before but it is clear that I have a bit to learn!
I didn't join this forum to start any fights. On the contrary, as explained on numerous occasions, I am completely new to these circumstances and having read the newbie rules about appealing tickets, there was no immediate information on their that I thought was relevant as I didn't realise I had a case to appeal in the first place! I have never heard of the BPA or the BMPA so hopefully you can afford a level of understanding if some of the comments/questions are naive.
The forum clearly contains a number of individuals who have seen these events occur on numerous occasions and so I would always defer to good advice, offered in good faith and a respectful tone. I'm sure that you get a few "newbies" on this forum and I am sure many of us "newbies" stretch the patience of those who are "veterans" and I feel that one of two responses from veterans in this forum ticked that box.
At the end of the day, I have no desire to start a fight with anyone and I joined this forum with little more than good faith that someone would be able to help. However, the tone of some responses have been dismissive, rude and intended to rebuke someone who is simply looking for some help and understand very little about this subject. I feel that I reserve the right to challenge why that is necessary.
Finally - we live in times where we all operate anonymously on these forums. Making sinister threats about heavy hitters is not required.
Thanks again for your advice - it is valued.0 -
Pappa Golf - firstly my apologies if I upset you earlier.
In answer to your question: if you don't mind, I would appreciate the run-down. I'd rather spend my money on something far more worthwhile.
Please note that I have contact the BPA for advice based on advice from this forum as a start point and am reading the links provided above to be a little more informed.
Many thanks0 -

this guty was a sole trader untill very recentlyb , he has to manually ask the DVLA for your info , and cannit do that untill 28 days (tommorrow) after the ticket and must write to you before day 56
please can you tell us what you said when the voicemail kicked in , did you give your name , address or say "I was the driver" , please tell us this first as it matters a lot
PS , the BPA are not friends they are the people that supposedly look over "their paying members and will side with themSave a Rachael
