With my case, Fedex and ControlAccount both recognise now that i have paid the inital duty of £26.14. But they are Both still adiment that i should pay the remaining £40 to conrolaccount.
Have there EVER been any cases of ControlAccount taking people to court or people getting CCJ's?
I had a contested fee from FedEx going back a few years, I'm not sure they passed it to ControlAccount but it was some similar type if not that name. I'd written in to them and kept the details but their reminder and nasty letters just fizzled out.
Most big companies don't bother taking you to court for under £80-£100, it isn't worth it.
If it ever did go to court and you lost the case (which I don't think would happen), you would only get a CCJ if you don't pay what the court tells you to in 14 days..0 -
If you want to get it cancelled then try Tweeting FedEx about it and ask why they and their representatives are bullying you. I expect they'll cancel it quite quickly.
I can be quite stroppy with some companies, I get fed up of big firms thinking they can push people around for £20. A well worded Tweet will often get a customer services department to do something every other department says they can't.
If you can't/won't use Twitter write a letter to the CEO of FedEx at their UK registered address..0 -

Hey,
Thanks for the advice. I have tweeted all three of Fedex's Twitter accounts from my business Twitter account.
I will also try and get friends to retweet it.

Fedex has FINALLY told ControlAccount to write off my late fee of £40!.
It's actually a bit funny, as only 2 hours before i get the response from Fedex to write off. I got a response from ControlAccount saying that they would reduce the bill to £20.
Twitter worked it seemed. Plus i also said that i spend over £1000 per year on international shipping (true) and that would look at taking my business elsewhere.
Thanks for all of your help,0 -

This happened to me.
I tried to pay FedEX last month but their lines were busy and I had even got cut off while holding.
Received letter from ControlAccount - with £3 additional charge.
Called FedEX, they refused to take payment for original amount. Said last month was a 'busy period' and cheekily said why didn't I use other methods of payment!
Called ControlAccount, notified them that the call is being recorded, and said I was prepared to pay original amount as I am not legally obliged to pay anything else.
They said that's fine and took the payment!
I also posted on social media telling people to avoid FedEx!
I don't mind paying, but I dislike them threatening legal action and bullying people. What they should do instead, is say that they will not deliver to the address anymore until payment is cleared.0
