I have a closed account with Barclaycard which I am paying off - I only closed it for extra discipline at the start of my DFW days. Today I found out that I could transfer a balance as I have been offered 0% HSBC card that will cover several of my cards. :). Thought after reading this forum that it might be worth me phoning other cards to see if I could get a 0% offer as these seem to be becoming available to me. Barclaycard could not but she said she would refund the interest charges over the past 6 months and put back on the account - this came to £96. :). So it was worth the phone call. This was on condition that I do a BT to pay off the rest of the balance. She said then I will need to wait 6 months before applying for a new Barclaycard, but looking on MSE credit club I have 80% chance.

Anyway I just wanted to share this - Barclaycard do seem fairly generous/flexible as they previously reduced my rate to a permanent 6.9% interest. I am making progress.
