Well that is it for me. I do not expect to spend anything else on groceries this month (DH gets paid next Friday and that is then into next month). My spend is 11.59% of my annual budget or 9.38% excluding my store-cupboard stores. In money terms I have spent £187.47 in February compared with £150.05 in January. DH actually commented on how much more expensive yesterday was, compared to essentially the same things the week before.

See you all over on March's thread (fresh, shiny and newly up)

OH popped to the shop and brought me back some shopping! Thought I needed it. Oh well I love pomengranates and tomato juice! So I'm down £11.10. I wanted bread and milk. Never mind.
  • £10.95 on vegbox.

Nearly ate out of tins (beans and tomatoes) last night as were v tired but with a fridge full of fresh veg, decided to do a small stirfry instead to avoid waste later in the week.

May be able to get away with not doing a big sm home delivery this month and just pick up a few things in the middle of the week.

  • No spends this weekend but I'll need more milk tomorrow as extra tea drinking from having visitors means we've only got a dribble left. I think I'll need more flour before the end of the month too but most other supplies are looking good so I may well come in under budget.

NSD again today :) need a good few more before end of month
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    £300/£130
  • £20.41 spent on a planned shop at L!dl and included x6 boxes of washing powder on special at 99p each this weekend and sack of tatties plus fruit and fresh bread etc. £1.32 on x2 boxes of black pudding bonbons which caught my attention and are now in the freezer for future use. I deliberately went to MrT and MrA to look at ys and was super careful to pick things up and consider what their value would be to us. So they all (except for bonbons above) were put back down again. Result!!

I was also looking through the cashback apps when in the stores to see what I could get for 'free' and I went to the shelves looking for the products but when I stopped and thought about it - we don't NEED chocolate and branded bread and fizzy pop - so I didn't spend any money to claim back. This is also progress for me. And I found I had £16.77 to collect which I had kind of forgotten about too (I think I was trying to get to £20 so as to avoid paying 5% of that in fees to have it paid). I've left it there for now while I wait to see if any worthwhile offers of things we use do come up but if nothing in the next few months I will collect it and bank it.

Should be NSDs now until Wednesday at the earliest (bread and milk) x
  • We had to pop to Mr T on the way back from a party. DS felt sick and I was super hungry. Great combination haha. Spent £5.66 on some lunch for me (kid was fed at the party) and ys eggs and self raising flour, which we used up this week.
