  • First day of Feb pay-wise for us, and we're already down £11.30; bread, apples, bananas, coffee, olive oil... and £47.30 has come out of the bulk-buying purse, for a shipping order of flour from the mill. This includes postage and should last us 3 months, maybe more for two of the varieties, but the third I may have to top up before then. It's swings and roundabouts whether it's cheaper to order it online or go up there, but as my vehicle's not the most economical to run, I'm fairly busy just now and I don't currently have another reason to go "up North" (OK, Shaftesbury; it is north from here, if not from most of the UK) ordering online & paying postage it is.

To set against that, though, it looks like I won't have to buy much cat food or visit the farm shop this month, as current supplies may well - possibly even should - last for over four weeks. So I'm really, really hoping I can make it under my target this month...

  • Ended up spending today, but got a load, some yellow stickered, and it only came to £7.45. Have updated sig.

First shop of the month, £56.16 spent between Aldi and Co-op.

I was disappointed when I went Aldi got my dates mixed up so the wrong super 6 deals on for my meal plan, I've got enough to do me till it changes on the 2nd so will pop back in then.

    Hi
how do you know what the super 6 will be? I can never find it in advance.
    Thank you

I'm off to to my 2nd weekly shop of the month. The list is bigger than the budget and so I'm going to make some choices on the way round the shops...can it wait until another week? I'll be going to Aldi & Tesco.

Have a good day all :)

First order of the month to arrive today, I was running low on some things but I was so determined to see Jan out at under £100. Used supmark...com to get the best value. Ended up with Mr T. Managed a £47 shop for just £30 plus £2 delivery (it would cost more in petrol to drive there and back) by using vouchers. Very pleased :j

Hopefully with the fresh veg from the plot and freezers I may last the next 10days
  • Well got my brand new £60.00 in fivers in my food budget purse and thats where they will stay for a while as I have more than enough stuff in stock at the moment and hopefully won't need to buy much for the foreseeable .although I do have to nip to s'bobs on Saturday to see if I can buy fresh spinach for Sunday mornings eggs florentine for my DGS and his wife who are coming to visit. So the amount spent won't be much ,even less if I can't get any and I will resort to the frozen stuff in my freezer :):):)
