Just a quick message to say I'm thinking of you and DM and her passing is as peaceful and pain free as possible
Sorry I haven't been posting MIL has had a chest infection and big incontinence problems so have had my hands full (so to speak)
I have a day off tomorrow to see Social services for her financial assessment and to see what her options are
DH and his brothers are worried she will have to sell her house to pay for her care but being as she is living at ours I don't see much choice
Tru my DH is another sulker especially when the subject of where DMIL is going to live long term
Have to admit my patience has been tested to its limits these past few weeks
    OK rant over
Going to be a bit naughty and treat myself to a bottle of wine on the way home
Dinner is HM shepherds pie just need to be heated through
    Have a good evening all

Caterina I go to East Medway U3A and our subs last year were £15.00 per annum. This afternoon we had a beetle drive which was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to enjoy them selves We had around 40 odd different interest groups and over 350 odd members. In the three years sine ce started up (the Rochester one was getting over subscribed ) we have gone from strength to strength. Our members usually start off by going to a coffee morning then if they like the look of us they come along to a couple of meeting and have a good look at what we offer It is meant to be a fun, social experience and you do get to meet so many new friends I could be out every day of the week if I had the time available :)I have to ration myself to several things a week, because I have several other clubs that I belong to as well. There is so much out there if you have a look ,even on your local council website it will normally tell you about clubs and societies. My problem is I run out of available time :):):)

I am hoping the snow will hold off tomorrow until I have returned from Gatwick ,but looking at the forecast I think I shall be driving through it.
I shall take it steady though

    Cheers chums xx

That sounds lovely, JackieO, I do look forward to meeting more people, I seem to have isolated myself quite dramatically in the last couple of years, probably due to my depression and the health and family issues we have, but I am really determined to shake this loneliness off in 2017.

Looking forward to the meet up!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
