B&Q Storage & Shelving Clearance **Prices Dropped Further**

Popped in to the Fareham store today - everything marked full price.
Got a crt wall mount stand for a 21" tv (not advertised on the website) sel £21.97, scanned at £10.
But that's not the best bit.......
Asked a member of staff if they had the set of 3 grass baskets which are selling for £2 as it's advertised in stock on the website.
She replied "There were 8 sets but they are out the back...customers have paid and reserved them".
Something sounded a bit fishy - why would customers pay for them and collect them later? Anyhows customers reservations are usually kept behind the service desk.
So we collared the Duty Manager and asked her if this was correct.
She said she had noticed 8 out the back but with staff names on and she would check.
She came back with 2 sets for us, apologising that staff are putting things aside until they can afford to pay for them, which is not allowed.
Staff can only put aside things during their breaks and pay at the end of their shift.
So if you don't see what you want on display, and it's showing in stock on the website, it's well worth asking if they have any out the back.0 -
There were 24 sets of the seagrass 3 draw set at Trafford park, Manchester. They were up high so B&Q had to get them brought down overnight. I asked for 10 and have now got them. They are a fantastic bargain. Wish I had got all 24 but a woman came in and took the other 14.0

lol, how much do they earn for them not to be able to afford the £2? :rotfl:0 -
Hi bargain bunny, that was me!!!!!!!!
Went to get them on Wed only to be told they were too high (24 of them) so the duty manager got them down that night but could only find 14! Collected them Thursday but was convinced staff had had the rest. They were in 2 locations so they obviously didn't check both! If they had I would have had the lot, mine have all gone already to friends and family! I've ended up out of pocket after all the petrol it cost me! In future I will ring ahead!0 -

:rotfl: :rotfl: Fantastic, I think the MSE'ers have probably got more of the bargains then the B&Q staff.
It certainly is a thrill when you find the stock - well done :j0 -
Managed to reserve a few bits at Havant via the internet and some bits were low in stock and others just said in stock, but took all my details and was able to reserve them.
I had a phone call from woman in store 2 hours later saying everthing that I had reserved was unavailable!
saintscouple, do you know if there are any seagrass storage towers at fareham left?!0 -

None of the 3 drawer towers available i'm afraid.
They say it's a system error as they have loads of 5 drawer seagrass towers that have only been reduced to £19.96. I cannot find these on the website, though i won't pay £19.96 for them.
I'm gone try to pay them a visit on a weekly basis, of phone them once a week to see if they've been reduced further.
The dm i spoke to said they will probably be knocked down to a tenner as they can't shift them.
I'll post back if i get lucky.0 -
i'll keep my eyes peeled for that one saintscouple jsut hope bargain bunny doesn't see them before me! Ha ha only joking.0
