I could understand if existing stock has gone, and the computer is not up to date, but for a store to suddenly show stock, ( it didn't even say low in stock) but there be none....
Either new stock is out back unpacked, or someone is winding me up.
Another store is showing stock of quite a few bits - but will do as suggested and ring first before I waste petrol and time.
It might help if they actually kept their sels up to date as well - but then again everyone would see the bargains
I have got some lovely bargains already, but think the basket sets would be great to use for Xmas presents - packed with food or smellies etc just tied with a huge ribbon. Something a bit different;)

I have been after these baskets for weeks and they are still showing stock in my local but everytime i ring up there isnt any and they dont stock them
I was also going to travel to get the seagrass tower as it was saying no stock within 50 miles then last week was showing stock again i rang up the store and they havnt got any
I have had some of the rollerboxes for 50p so i cant complain but its annoying when it says the site has been updated as showing stock/no stock then you get told something different when you ring up

I think that WE probably know more about what our local B&Qs have in than the staff.

I went into my local armed with a list of ean numbers for items their website said it had in stock.
All week the staff said the website was wrong, and they didn't have the stock. Finally I got a sa who was prepared to actually get off his butt and check it out - guess what, we found them !!!!
After checking the 'location' on the store computer we literally scoured the shelves, and found them - exactly where the computer said they would be.
Of course the staff didn't believe the price, and repeatedly said that cannot be right, but of course it was.:D

I was feeling so generous I even left plenty of stock for the staff to buy themselves - ALL the stock had gone next day.:cool:

I still think that they probably have the other items somewhere on the premises, but just haven't unloaded it yet and given it a location on their store system.

The moral is, try and get the staff to check their own store system, if it shows the item, and a location, then you should be in luck.

I will keep trying with the other items in the hope that someone actually gets around to unpacking them from wherever they are hidden

I would be careful on the rolling boxes now as i have been asking my store for the past two weeks and they were expecting delivery on certain dates so i rang up on these dates to be told that they hadnt turned up etc but they are still 50p

Anyway i rang up last week and they told me they were expecting 12 in friday and they are still 50p but when i rang up friday they had the 12 in but when i asked the price they were £7.99 so i said how can they be clearance 1 week and full price the next

She looked on the website but thier not on there now

Yea the same happened at my local store too although the manager was very tight, when he seen them flying out the door at 50p he increased the price to £2 and now they are back to full price!
