My 2 year old Skoda was in for its 3rd MOT at a non-dealers garage when an elderly couple came in, thier VW Golf 2ltr Tdi DSG had gone all limp on the M54 and had been towed home, they wanted it collected and repaired, my alarm bells rang when they said "it had been in VW a week ago".....so i asked the question......"for the emissions update?"

    The bloke relied yes

Couldnt suggest they rip into VW if I wanted my car to pass its test could I really

Why is a 2 year old car having its 3rd mot? That really isn't money saving.

My second question is if you were at a non franchised place why couldn't you suggest he couldn't complain to VW? The indy place may have even be willing to help.

I've just yesterday bought a 2016 Passat TDI SE.

I've read the news today and am shocked and horrified to find that i have been scammed by VW.

Can i return it for a full refund or should i just claim £,£££?

    Define "scammed"

    1. Its a taxi... so was tested at 450 miles on the clock (60,000 now)

If id met them in the street id have told them, but not in the office of a testing station I get sent to (no choice in the matter).

Mine passed BTW...lol (and its a VAG car)

    2. If someone put off your customer from spend £1000 would you be pleased?

The company I work for leases 10+ VW Caddy vans, all have been in for the software update... not one driver has noticed any difference since!

probably cos they get used and thrashed, whereas so many diesel cars in private hands do 100 miles a week and driven around towns or at 30mph in 5th looking for that elusive 60 MPG

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And that group's not full of 'entitled' compo seekers/bandwagon jumpers ?

At the moment the only ones likely to see any money are the lawyers and VW group who continue to sell cars

Stooge? I have never worked for VW in any way and have not owned a VW either.

Ahh facebook the place for the real news and faceless trolls with many accounts. I must join one day ( NOT ).

Can you list any losses? Thought not.

Oh god YES!!!! Have we not called you yet? They have bookmarked at least £20,000 and we have a cheque with your name on it.. Maybe you missed our spam call :)

The £20,000 cheque is for owners/drivers or even if you even partially thought of buying a VW and didnt. If you actually bought a car the compensation could be far greater....

PS our commission is very reasonable at only 99.99% with as minium upfront fee of £500 to take on your case :)
