Hi all
Ok iv tried my best to cobble together a letter to the DVLA and BPA and am already feeling way out of my depth.
Iv mostly used the information above with a little extra added also searched the forums and googled the hell out of it for some sort of template letter for help but there doesn't seem to be a similar situation to mine.
Hoping you lot can maybe add to it to make it sound more serious and correct my terrible grammar lol.
I really do appreciate the help so far and am really trying my best but will admit even with this simple stuff I'm finding it difficult sorry peeps
OK please be kind
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter as a concerned member of the public regarding the actions and business practices of the company UKPC LTD.
I am aware that this company uses the DVLA to recover details of registered keepers to persue the issuing of parking charge notices, Im also aware that this company has strict rules and regulations that they must follow to conduct their business.
As the DVLA assist this company in there actions i think its important that you are made aware of this company's inproper and unlawful practices.
This is the current situation ....
A ticket from UKPC was placed on my windscreen, the car was parked on a roadside next to a carpark. After visiting the site in daylight it would appear that there are signs on the carpark and also signs along the roadside and they differ in detail and parking charge amount.
The CAR PARK signs state (in minuscule font) '£100 charge reduced to £60'. The other information on that sign includes 'disabled badge only in disabled bays, all vehicles parked within bay and max 3hr stay' so clearly that sign relates to the car park bays.
The signs on the ROADSIDE state in an astonishing tiny font: '£70 charge reduced to £40'.
The car was parked on the roadside NOT the carpark, the car was parked next to a £70 sign but a PCN has been issued for £100. The signs are barely visible and even less visable early morning /evening . These signs are NOT illuminated in any way.
The carpark has been unused for nearly a year and the road has no "private road markings" only recently have the UKPC signs appeared. I have taken photos of all the signs including the carpark and roadside mentioned above in daylight, early morning and in the evening.
My car wasn't the only vehicle ticketed along the roadside, i know of atleast two others which have also recieved a £100 ticket when their vehicles were parked next to a £70 sign.
It is my understanding that this company has time and time again broken the rules set out to them and that they have been suspended from accessing DVLA data in the past . How this is being allowed to continue so soon after UKPC were banned for altering photos i do not know! Are they not being specially audited and scrutinised; if they are, what has gone wrong?
I hope to receive a response as a matter of urgency to stop this company from issuing more incorrect tickets and for not following the rules regarding there signs.
Yours Sincerely0 -
Would it be worth mentioning something like
Its unreasonable to expect members of the public to be able to read these ridicuosly small printed signs when clearly ukps's own trained staff struggle to read the details of the signs correctly0 -

In your previous post, I suggest you do a carriage return between each paragraph to make it easier to read.

Hi all
I think maybe a certain company might well be reading this thread as there has been some very important changes made that i noticed today.
Not sure if its best to update here or on something more private, been advised from a well respected forum member to spill on this thread but my gut tells me it might not be the best thing to do just yet , no offense intended to the very helpful forum member , just not use to this sort of stuff and don't want to jeopardize anything
