urgently need help about boarding, in panic!

can someone please help? i usually only travel with hand luggage so not very clued up on boarding on-line. i have a friend travelling into stansted in the morning from shannon airport. i paid for their ticket and as i paid for a checked in bag, assumed they wouldnt need to check in on-line as i thought when they went to drop off baggage they would be given their boarding pass. as i was booking it all here i thought this would easier than they having to mess about finding a printer. but just now received a text from ryanair saying dont forget to check in on-line or i would be charged £45.

so sorry for waffle my question is do you still have to print your boarding pass on-line even if you are checking in your luggage at check in desk??

  • Ryanair do make a charge unless you check in online, and either print your boarding pass, or download their app and use a mobile pass. All this info is on their website, and in the terms you agreed to when you booked.

The app is really easy to use on phones or tablets - get them to check in on line then get their mobile pass. If you're paranoid like me, get them to take a screenshot of it as well.

ah, but if only so easy. person not got proper mobile, is completely useless at anything on internet. so now have to check in on line for them and then get them to go somewhere and print out boarding pass. really thought if you had luggage you would have to check in and get given boarding pass then, now i know different. could have been an extra expense. was lucky to get flight for £12. all extras are adding up though. but thanks for reply
