Recently checked my credit report and its showing 2 credit searches by anglian water services.I have never lived in the area that anglian covers(actually live miles away!) .I've rang them and have been informed the search could have been carried out in error when they have been trying to trace a person of a similar name but obviously with this showing as a credit search i'm a little concerned ...does anyone have any ideas on what i can do to have this removed etc Thanks

Whilst I have little knowledge of credit reference ratings, what is detrimental in a company having a search?

Found out It was a hard search performed on my husbands account ,which indicates a search for credit. Anglian water are investigating now as they are as baffled as we are haha Thanks for the reply
