Iphone replacement battery
Hi, A friend of mine took her iPhone into her local apple store to get a free battery replacement
https://www.apple.com/uk/support/iphone6s-unexpectedshutdown/
however because she had got the screen replaced by a third party they charged her £119 because they could not guarantee it would not break so had to put their own screen on.
Is this right?
Cheers

oh the joys of using rip off apple0

That's kinda a rip off if you ask me..0

If the cheap replacement screen was glued on then it may break when the case is opened, so it doesn't sound wrong.0

She'd have done better to also get the battery replaced by a third party for £15-20.
Apple's excuse will be that she'd voided the warranty by getting a third party screen replacement.0 -
Did they advise her of this cost before they went ahead and did it?
And if so why did she agree?0
