I have noticed past couple of years the difference between DVD and Bluray packaging is getting less distinctive. When they first came out, there was a thick blue border on the cover. Now, there is a thin top line with Blu-ray on the top. Also, normal DVDs come in blue cases as well..

OP, have you tried it in a different DVD player, on a computer or at your grandchild's home for example? That should identify whether it's a player or DVD fault.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
