I have the full Virgin tv package. I am considering a Now box as it would allow me to access Sky Atlantic series which I do not get or have missed on Virgin. However it is unclear what boxsets/tv series are available just now on Now tv. I already get Fox, Blindspot etc.
Do you have easy access to boxsets/ tv series which have finished or have already had several series shown. e.g. the Affair 2 is starting but I have not seen the first series.
Do not know anyone with Now tv and getting information is difficult. I would not want to get it for very limited Sky Atlantic programmes.

I have Now TV on a Now TV box with Entertainment pass, and the amount of Sky Atlantic content is significant.
If there is anything you specifically want to know about, it should be possible to find out here: http://watch.nowtv.com/entertainment/explorer
There are 118 series titles listed under Sky Atlantic on demand, which includes Seasons 1-3 of The Affair (28 Episodes in all).0 -
You can also watch Sky Atlantic as it is being broadcast but only in standard definition. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Have you any idea what the minimum broadband speed should be for Now TV? I have the basic Virgin package which is supposed to be up to 70 ?but is often just about 45?? Would that be enough to stream Programmes?0

Now TV uses a variable bit rate between 1.5 to 2.5Mbps at a resolution up to 720p.0

On Now TV entertainment, there's a mix of box sets and catch up - boxsets pretty much as you'd expect, the whole series is available. With catch up, each episode is available for up to a month usually. You can add a programme to your watch list and watch it when you want. Content changes regularly so sometimes a box set will disappear and come back later. For the price, I recommend it - plus it's pay monthly so you can always unsubscribe when you've seen what you want to. Your account remains, you just 'add vouchers' when you want to start up again. With the Now TV boxes - the new ones have a lot more apps on so you can access more services/channels, but they cost more. Your best money choice is to get a box with as many free passes as you can, as they tend to make the box virtually free. I bought one for £25 with 3 months movie pas, which is worth nearly £30 technically.
For info, I stopped subscribing to the movie package on Now TV for about months, then got offered a 14 day free trial again - when that ended, they offered me 4 months for £5.99 a month which I took. I tend to find it's a good way to save a few quid, particularly if you have access to Netflix or amazon tv - flick between them and see whether you get any offers, whilst still having content to watch when you want.
I agree with others, your internet speed is more than enough.0 -
If you have left Sky within the last 12 months, it's worth checking your My Sky account , as there may still be an excellent offer for recent leavers which means that a large Sky package works out cheaper than Now. (I am effectively paying under £6/month for Boxed Sets and Cinema, after the £100 credit is taken into account).0

I pick up the NOW TV Entertainment Boxes at Christmas when they are £15 or less with a 6 month entertainment pass in them. You can't beat them! I think I've got 4 NOW TV boxes stuffed in a box!Nutty am I :rotfl:0
