Help needed please - holiday in Lake District

    Try Broughton-in-Furness. Well away from all the hustle and bustle, but near enough to visit the hotspots if you want to, and close to the beautiful Duddon Valley. It's a proper Cumbrian village (though officially a town!) with excellent shop, post office, 4 pubs, a restaurant and 2 cafés. Have a look at the website: http://www.broughton-in-furness.co.uk/

    And yes, I'm biased as I live nearby, but that's cos I spent years coming here on holiday and fell in love with the place!:p
