Computer not booting.

Yesterday, I used my computer and everything was fine. I didn't do anything special apart from browsing the internet.
This morning I turn on my computer and out of the blue it won't boot the ssd drive. It just says load proper boot media. I checked the bios boot priority and everything is still the same. I tried to use window 7 repair function from the boot disc and it just froze. I tried again but this time chose the load drivers option and I can see the disc doesn't even detect my ssd drive only my second drive.
Any advice on what to do next?
My specs
Windows 7 Home edition
i7 6700k
ASUS Maximus VIII hero
16GB KIngston Hyper X fury DDR4 2666MHz
1st drive: 250gb Samsung evo 850
2nd drive: 1 TB Western cavalier black
Corsair 750W CS Series

First action check that the SSD can be recognised in the BIOS if not check cables (power and data) are still seated correctly.
If the SSD is recognised by BIOS report back what it says. Try swapping cables between drives and see if the result is the same or if the problem changes between drives.
That is just for starters I am sure a lot more help will be posted. If you get to a stage where the drive is recognised properly you can then do further diagnostic checks or try it in another machine or caddy.0 -
Also just wondering if "load proper boot media" is a proper error message? Any body know? Could it be an infection that has changed the boot sectors?
Where were you surfing and do you have a firewall and virus checker operating........
Don't know for sure if that is the expected error message for your PC, you see.....0 -
Sorry it said load proper boot device not media.
The night before I was on YouTube only and didn't download anything at all.
Like I said before, I checked bios and the ssd is the first boot priority. I've also checked the seating and cables and they are both firmly in place.0 -

Under the Advanced tab, it is recognising both drives in bios. I would upload a picture but I don't have working computer to do so.0

Good. You said the Windows7 repair froze. Where abouts in the process did it freeze?

I assume it was after you selected the Windows7 OS on the C: drive?
I suggest going to the command prompt and just looking at the files on the SSD (D: or E: in the repair environment); if you can see them then its "just" a corrupt boot record. Also run chkdsk
(or whatever the SSD is in the repair environment).

The windows 7 boot disc cannot find my ssd drive to repair.0

This is a good opportunity to get rid of windows, boot up a live Linux distro, copy the files you want to keep off the hard drive to a USB drive or stick, then install Linux.

Ok I will try later and update. Bear with me for a moment one I need to run some quick errands.0
