  • Arternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Usual Sunday brekkie in bed, so late getting up. I prepped at the veggies for supper and re laid the fire.

We finished off the mixed lentil and split pea soup at lunch time. OH went for his siesta, I relaxed his chair and read for an hour or so. Need to start the chicken off shortly.....

Its been a funny day, rather dull but with occasional bursts of sunshine. No idea how cold it is, have barely been outside the door.

The book has been finished - I sat on the sofa at the window to read so that I could distract my annoyance by looking at the sea which gradually appeared as the low cloud or fog lifted. The book tied up loose ends far too fast for me and, what with the extended information, made the author seem too smug at his own cleverness. The story was really enjoyable. Maybe I'm just too hard to please!

Apart from that I've only done very little today, sorted out my music library and got it streamed in the living room which pleased me greatly. I really enjoy music playing quietly in the background, or even loudly in the foreground, and have missed it. Got the music in the car sorted too by discovering a USB socket in it. It's far too fiddly to keep taking a flash drive in and out of so I bought an extension cable which makes things so much easier.

I've watched the red squirrel run around the garden burying the hazelnuts I left out for him / her. I think this is a new one as I hardly see it as it comes early in the morning. The one last year came later and wandered around eating peanuts and the hazelnuts.

It's still light outside, think it's gradually coming back to us.

Our cat has been bringing an average of one mouse every couple of days into the house. We live next to fields so can't really complain too much. Today, however, we have had 6 mice on the kitchen floor, so far! He's bitten the heads off and left them lying a little way from the body! I am not impressed....cat seems very proud of himself!

    Afternoon OSers,
Late post from me, been rushing about all day.
Now relaxing and watching Victoria with a glass of vino left from lunch.
Roast beef dinner was lovely-well done mother! Beds all stripped and changed, pooch walked and bathed, both animals de-flea treatment done.
Our poor pooch needs to go to the vet tomorrow, noticed she has a rather large lump between her shoulder blades, hopefully it's just a fatty lump but best to get it checked especially after her illness over Christmas.
Will go and make up DDs lunchbox in a bit and then she needs to finish her math homework. Really need an early night again.

Hugs all round. Enjoy your evenings xx
