Specifically a bricklayer. Weather that isn't sub-freezing Is good!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

What about your buildings insurance?
However the problem with this is that it seems likely that the wall was already unstable if it collapsed under the weight of a single person, so the insurers might not cover it.
Hopefully the drunk was not injured, otherwise he might sue you when he's sobered up...No free lunch, and no free laptop

Knocked down a wall by leaning on it! Was it Superman? You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Sounds like you've been very lucky.
A wall in reasonable condition can't be knocked down by leaning or pushing it, which points to it having been in poor, probably unsafe condition. So the fact the drunk appears to have just got up and walked off with no come back on you is lucky. If it had been a child leaning, or climbing on it it could be a lot worse.
Main thing now - check the safety and stability of what remains and make it safe until you can get it repaired.0 -

Will get rest checked, we've never had any problems and my husband is a structural engineer and he told me the whole thing was safe before but I know in the house we've had problems with various dubious quality building work plus we are on a hill and next door had a big water leak a few years back in their front garden which ran down to ours and went on for days as they weren't there. I can therefore believe it wasn't safe though my husband tests safety of structures so weird he is so adamant it was safe though he doesn't do bricks.
I would get a new structural engineer!
A wall that falls over without the application of a sledgehammer or mechanical device isn't safe.
Count yourself lucky that the person/drunk doesn't sue you as you would have no defence. Get a new wall/pillars built asap.0 -
