a £900 + large classy , virtually new, pure wool rug I bought from a charity furniture outlet and gave to a good friend who's never been able to afford such luxury. She was thrilled.i paid £20

My Kindle paperwhite. I love books, but the print is too small in most. I do have reading glasses as well as the ones I wear all the time, but I don't find them comfortable. Also, whilst I still need to clear an awful lot of books (will donate to charity - I can't bear to throw them out), at least I'm not adding more to my already cluttered shelves and the piles of books next to the shelves.0

Nespresso machine on subscription. Cost a quid then £18/month for a year, but I get to use the full value of that £18 for coffees, free delivery, free recycling collections, etc.
I was spending a pound or two a time on mediocre coffee, where now it's 33p/cup for some really really rather good coffee direct from Nespresso. I've also tried some of the pods from other people but they're in plastic (not recyclable) and frankly massively disappointing compared with the legit Nespresso ones.0 -

Either my iPhone SE or my trolley walker. My walker means I can now move around easier and also when I'm in pain I can sit down when I need to. My iPhone means I have a good reliable phone when I need it as my other one was on its last legs.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

My 1998 Saab turbo ragtop. bought 7 1/2 years ago for £1900 'cos I fancied something different, no major problems with it in the 60k + miles I've put on it including numerous trips to France, 2 trips to Spain & 1 to Portugal.
Looks like it's going to go on for a while yet.0 -
My Henry hoover.
The item is modular so that if any one bit "goes" - it can be repaired easily and cheaply. So much better than the ridiculous overpriced monstrosities that just don't work.
The only thing you need to buy above the standard - is a brush floor tool - which you can get for about a tenner. Bloody brilliant.

My Specialised bike.
Paid 500 quid for it on offer in 1997 (which seemed like a huge extravagance) and it has been worth every penny. Fabulous bike although I now usually only use it for commuting.0 -
My cordless black&decker handheld vacuum cleaner, at about £90. It seemed crazy to spend so much when I already have a large vacuum cleaner but I use it throughput the day, everyday and it's so handy. Great for cleaning the car too.
My electric blanket too. So cheap for so much heat. It's kept me alive many winters!0
