I take Vitamin D as I have deficiency. Also take B12, fish oil tablets, Vitamin C, Chromium to reduce sugar cravings. Fish oil helps with skin.
I don't take all of them everyday though.

Prescription: B12 daily (x2) and liquid Vitamin D weekly (x2)- will move to 1 daily OTC in 6 weeks.

Folic Acid OTC daily (GP directed).

1 Echinacea & 1 Garlic daily during winter.

I have poor immunity & malabsorption issues even with a very good diet so I need all of it!

I believe I also have a balanced diet but I'm anaemic and some of these supplements help with that. I think it is not totally fair to claim with a balanced diet noone would need anything.

  • I reckon to have a balanced diet, but I also take Omega 3 daily.

Macushield, which is lutein plus another, as there is Age Related Macular Degeneration in the family.

Evening Primrose for great pain, used to be on prescription.

Calcium, rather than HRT for bones

    B12 as I'm vegetarian

Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)
  • Berroca Immune Support or a cheaper version with pretty much the same list of ingredients because it covers lots of vitamins/minerals and is vaguely palatable in a 'cheap fizz from the 1970s' way - better than the multivitamin pills that leave a foul aftertaste from one of the B vitamins, anyhow.

Plus superstrength Vit D once a week because I was diagnosed with a severe Vit D deficiency at the hospital following complaining of severe hip pain for a couple of years (and having a history of high dose steroid treatments for years).

I'm not keen on meat or fish (and we can't afford it anyway), can't do dairy since low dose chemo five years ago (and get fed up with searching for substitutes that are both fortified and taste good) and I only bake bread when I need Marmite on Toast or peanut butter, so there is lots of scope to screw up on my diet, as it consists largely of fruit, vegetables and pulses.

I treat the branding 'Immune Support' with extreme indifference, as there's nowt wrong with my immune system - it works too damn hard at the best of times, as my joints and skin know - but it covers a lot of things I could be missing in a few gulps and a grimace at the taste.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Interesting talk on supplements here. To make a profit, manufacturers isolate out and concentrate nutrients, like vitamins and minerals, and sell them as expensive pills. I don't completely agree but it's very interesting talk though, but as there also obviously studies that people will inevitably post here to show benefit too.

He does top up and check his vitamin b12 levels which may seem a tiny bit contradictory, but he does explain very well why it's not.

Doctors are also just part of pushing patent medicine on us and take their orders from Big Pharma (I know they don't like to here that) Completely foreign to nature products with a bottom line of making a profit also. They start out with a nice natural compound and tinker with it just so it can be patented and sold with more profit than from natural compounds (which can't be patented).

I know that there are very safe medicines that are not going to kill you but there are very terrible drugs out there that are doing/done awful things to people who take them in good faith.

Even hormones that so many women have taken from their GPs over decades are synthetic. The real ones were always there. Tens of thousands of women have already been harmed and killed by drugs such as DES, estrogen-only HRT, and estrogen-progestin HRT.
Maybe it's a good thing men stay away from their GPs.

See how the two condescending GPs told Melinda Messinger recently on ITVs This Morning that they didn't like to be told, by a mother, that she has a right not to just consent to take their poorly studied vaccine just cos they recommend it.

The Doc was upset that she spoke publically worried it'll scare others away from consenting.

They think in terms of risks vs. benefit in large populations, and consider the sacrifice of a certain number as acceptable to them, not you or your child.

I wonder how many girls get jabbed without this consent form. How it's presented to you as a parent.

There is no risk/benefit formula that can justify a poorly studied vaccine given to millions of women that is likely causing serious, permanent side effects and death.
Not one woman should have to die because of this vaccine—not one.

McDougall's excellent Youtube Channel anyway. His message that a starch based diet is the human diet, has been squeezed out, from television and radio across America, over his lifetime (Powerful lobbies didn't like his message).Share it.

    Oh, for Heaven's Sake.

    1. Big Pharma in a sentence usually means woo woo claims of magic or anti vaccination stance (or both) shortly afterwards.

    2. Contraceptives have saved millions of women's lives. Go to a country where contraception isn't available and you'll be in a country where pregnancy and childbirth is the main cause of death for women.

    3. Contraceptives directly improve women's rights, their access to education, their economic status and the health of the children they choose to have.

    4. The needs of the many outweigh the hysteria of the few. I'd have asked the woman what qualifications she has beyond displaying her chest on page 3 when she was a teenager, that would qualify her to make an informed decision, rather than one that gets her a payment for appearance on TV, for interviews and other publicity now her breasts are not as they were.

    5. Try reading the bloody consent form and handouts parents are given before consenting to the vaccinations. And maybe visualise yourself as a woman finding out that you've got cervical cancer, which could have been prevented by a short course of vaccinations if they had been available in your teens. Would you want your kid to go through that?

    6. Just go away. If this is so important to you, start your own thread for woo woo and conspiracies.
