Is This EON plan expensive or not? Anything cheaper?

There seems to be a considerable number of energy companies offering good deals, listed at Topcashback.

-Hengus - do your prices from Iresa include vat?
I ask because I was under the impression that prices given on Iresa's site don't appear to include vat.
Still a good saving for the OP Hthough even if vat has to be added.0 -
But the "tariff comparison rate " you see on the bill is nt the tariff you get billed at.Look at the bill where it details how many kwhrs you have used , then they multiply by your actual tariff and add 5% vat which on my bill is much much lower than the "tariff comparison rate ".. 4.4 p/kwh is terribly expensive. I ve just signed up for a year with Daligas at 2.4 p/kwh for gas (inc vat ), and Robin hood energy at 10.5 p/kwh electricThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. The total and monthly payments INCLUDE VAT but the indicated standing charges and unit prices DO NOT include VAT. This is shown at the top right of Iresa's quote page.

Thank you all for the information.
The Kilowatt hours from Aug 4th - Nov 9th on electric are: 787
The Kilowatt hours from Aug 7th - Nov 8th on gas are: 984
Not sure if that would make any difference to the numbers given above for that company?
Also I can't seem to find Iresa on top cash back so I'm assuming that they're not on there and I can't use that to go to them?
Thank you for reading.0 -

No, you won't find Iresa on any comparison sites.
You could try another accredited comparison site such as MSE's own Cheap Energy Club? It only takes a few minutes to register.
You may pay slightly more than Iresa, but some of the tariffs on there are offering £30 cashback, and you will have a selection of tariffs to choose from.Fred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

Don't be seduced into thinking that a cashback deal offers best value for money - but each to his/her own. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My advice is, that despite their fancy website, avoid this company. I have just had a 45 minute wait on the telephone to sort out an e-mail request for a gas meter reading on transfer which asked me to roll back the clock to the 27th December 2015. Iresa admit that a number off customers were sent a meter reading request with this erroneous date. They suggested that everything would have been alright had I responded to their request for a monthly meter reading. I pointed out that I wasn't on supply with them on the 30th November.
In my view, they are struggling to cope.
PS. It would seem that their excuse now is that my supply is via an IGT and it isn't an automated process. I acknowledge that industry procedures are at best Third World but IGT transfers are the same for all suppliers. Those that do not have the resources to cope do not offer IGT supply transfersI usually follow the savings when it comes to choosing a supplier(s); however, I am beginning to regret moving to this Company. Today, this banner has appeared on my account page:
November bill is being generated
Your Energy Bill is being generated and will be available online on Wednesday 14th December, 2016.
To check out your payments and charges, click on transactions.
Two points: Iresa wasn't may supplier in November and today is the 16th. The banner wasn't there yesterday.
My gas account is still showing a fixed term from the 27th December 2015 to the 27th December 2016 despite the fact that Zog was my supplier up until the 5th December. Given Iresa's performance to date, I am surprised that their IT system hasn't sent me a message telling me that my fixed price contract is coming to an end.
Needless to say, I will be monitoring my bills very, very closely.
OP - See above, comments regarding Iresa on "Add your feedback on Energy Supplier Iresa thread." In your case, i would strongly recommend taking a look at the Cheap Energy Club, Top Cashback, etc. There are plenty of accredited comparison sites. They will show you a range of tariffs from a range of energy suppliers, (including 2 and 3 year fixes,) with some offering cashback, too.Fred - Where's your get up and go?

The above were my comments; however, whilst Iresa is slow to set up accounts compared to some of the other suppliers that I have used over the past 2 years, I may have been a bit unfair. I still think that they are struggling but my electricity account was set up in 5 weeks (compared to 8 weeks for E.oN), and my gas supply was transferred in 30 days (compared to 3 months for Ovo). Moreover, since my comments were posted, Iresa has stopped advertising on comparison sites which may be a management decision to restrict the number of new customers whilst they get themselves sorted out.
Yes, I have thought about moving away; however, Ofgem's revised policy on Last Resort and consumer credit protection has persuaded me to sit tight. As others have found with some other suppliers recommended by MSE CEC, things do go wrong on switches. Both BG and E.oN have had issues accepting opening meter readings; BG has had problems with dual fuel transfers and the Coop has had major billing issues.
Given that it would now cost me in excess of £100 more to switch to another small supplier, I am prepared to sit tight and monitor my account very closely.
FWiW, the best energy supplier that I have dealt with in the past 2 years is Zog. However, they do not have an online account and they never ask for meter readings - hence, I would never recommend them to someone who has never switched before. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
