Another issue which could cause a headache is if your planned SFO-LHR flight is cancelled or delayed. The airline may put you on other flights to DUB that go nowhere near London.0 -
look at the netherlands and/or sweden can be really cheap
we flew to Phx via Calgary with west jet of ouf gatwick - worked out £1500 cheaper than the direct flight and we precleared into the US in canada so was a breeze.
