    Good morning,

Thank you nmlc for starting the thread.

My prayers last night and first thing in the morning were for HH and her family, for the loss of little Jessica. Also thinking of all who are not well or sad for dear ones. Sending hugs and prayers to all who need them.

Oh the BLISS of sleeping in my own bed! I could wax lyrical about it for ages but will stop now in case it gets boring. But did I mention the SHEER BLISS of sleeping in my own bed? LOL

I am feeling a lot better this morning, it always takes me a bit to get breathing properly, but all of yesterday I did not have to use the asthma pump, not even once, not even when I felt a tightening of the chest, I did breathing exercises instead. I hope to be on the mend finally!

I have texted the boys' mum to say that I am convalescing and won't be working next week and she is ok with it. Sadly when I see her again I will have to tell her that I am resigning, but will give her all the time she needs to get someone else in my place. I am just too tired at the end of the day.

Hoping to pop to a local fruit and veg market for a top up of fruit, then DH is driving me to the hospital as I have a mammogram. I hate it, but it's got to be done.

If I feel lively enough I want us to pop into a supermarket and get a few boxes so I can start the Big Declutter today, depends on how I feel later. Baby steps, as JackieO wisely suggested.

    Have a good day.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Morning all,

Hugs to Hester tragic news, poor little mite xx

Seems I have another horrid cold  I went to bed at nine last night and slept right through till 9.30 this morning, have woken with aches all over and a wracking cough ! Im not happy as Ive had one just before Xmas!

It will just be a pottering day today as I have no energy, OH is just going to the shop to get a few bits and bobs, I have a wash on the go which will have to go in the TD as its drizzling here.

DD spent the night with her friend so expecting to see her later, I must say as much as I worry about her driving its nice that she is independent now and I don't have to collect her from all over !

Right have good days all xx

So sorry to hear your sad news Hester.

Decorating is progressing, I'm not yet at the stage where I'm wondering why on earth I wanted this done, I expect that to hit some time tomorrow.

I'm still managing not to shop apart from the essentials, I think I will make some mocha squares today for treats through the week, I'll have to exercise my self control though, they are so moreish.

We went to DD's house yesterday to pay the builders. It's getting close to finished thank goodness, they have been out of the house for 3 months now. They'll be back from India on Thursday and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be able to move back in next weekend,
although that might be a bit optimistic.
  • Good morning (just). It is quite mild but very soggy here. Soggy plus foggy.

I have done a couple of loads of washing, am meant to be blitzing the kitchen and don't really want to. I think I will carry on with my toy-making instead, more fun. Kitchen isn't feelthy, could just do with a good bottoming.

Thoughts are with LaineyT, HH and those who could do with some support.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

H/H my condolences go to you and you family on this dreadful news Poor little lass and her poor Mum, a dreadful thing to happen.Sadness seems to be quite prevalent at the moment with all of the worries of Lainey and her DM and Coxy and her family and no news of Hilstep at all.Not a great start to the New Year for lots of people .My thoughts are with you all

Caterina I can imagine how pleased you are to be not only home but back in your own bed once more Nothing like it is there I adore my family and they are very kind to me over the Christmas and New Year but I too like to get back to my own bed.

Well the weather is looking a bit dreich at the moment and its not very warm at all I took my car to the wash yesterday and it came out as usual looking very nice and shiny and I was pleased with how the lads there really do a great job.
Last night it rained, typical ,still at least I know its nice and clean underneath.
Today I am off to see my sis -in-law in Bromley and will be home tomorrow Lots of catching up to do natter-wise :) as I've not seen her for a couple of months

Hope you all have a good weekend and keep warm and dry if possible
<<hugs>> for those who need one

    Morning All

    Thinking of you HH.
Gers, I hope the wee fella is ok. Your poor Mum, hope she's rested now.

I was up and out early this morning, the car had to go for an MOT at 8am. I dropped it off then walked to Waitrose which is about a mile and a half away. Had a wander round, bought a coffee (can't find my card for a freebie) and walked back just in time for it to be ready.

Not much else planned today apart from going to the allotment garden, I've not been for ages, hope the drizzle eases for later.

Have a good weekend. Take care. XX
  • Afternoon all

Keeping busy here as I have 9yo dgd here, we've made choc chip biscuits for her to take home and we made a teddy to replace one she lost.

My L&M is at work until 1:30 I will cook him a burger inn a bun when he gets home.

This afternoon I'll update my spreadsheet with this weeks spends.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hester so sorry to hear the news. Gers fingers crossed for the new arrival. Hope your Mum is feeling better today.

My sister is going in for major surgery on Monday. On her back. Risky, but at the moment she is in agony and spends most of the day flat on her back (even at work) as it's the only way she can function. Having all sorts of worst case scenario dreams last night. Also we still both have wracking coughs. DH got up at midnight saying it wasn't fair to keep me awake. Think I preferred that to the dreams though.

Need to be positive. Just made lasagne, and going to see the new Star Wars this evening. Taken down the tree and decorations so need to blitz the house before we go.

    Have a good day everyone.
