So I have searched and can't find a thread on this.
Does anyone have a current account with them, and is it as bad as the reviews on trust pilot say it is?
Thanks
Jack

I have a current account with them since I switched an old account with another provider so as to obtain a switching incentive and ongoing monthly rewards.
I have no trouble operating it (although I don't use it much) and neither does a relative who also has a Co-op current account.0 -

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/cooperativebank.co.uk 5.7/10 score
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/co-operativebank.co.uk 1.8/10 score
Anyone reading those reviews might think Co-operative Bank is the worst bank in the UK. However, other banks have similar bad reviews and score:- Barclays Bank 0.7/10 score
- HSBC 0.5/10 score
- Natwest 2.0/10 score
- Nationwide Building Society 2.1/10 score
- Lloyds Bank (1) 3.1/10 score
- Lloyds Bank (2) 2.3/10 score
Even John Lewis, which has quite a good reputation here and elsewhere, only scores 1.4 out of ten.0 -
I've had a Coop Bank current account for many decades with no problems. Their web site works fine too."Such an enormous country, you realize when you cross it" - Jack Kerouac0

Part of it is that people only tend to be motivated to write reviews about banks (or companies in general) if something horrible happens or if they feel hard done by. For the rest of us, they're a utility like any other. I wouldn't pay attention to Trustpilot ratings for anything that isn't local.
With regards to the Co-op, I recently switched to them (not for the incentive, incidentally). The people on the phone seem friendly and competent enough, everything came through quickly, and the Everyday Rewards scheme is a pretty good substitute for the Halifax Reward now that the benefits of that have reduced. Their app and website are basic but they do what they need to - and not a bit more, which depending on how you feel about such things may be alright and may be not alright.urs sinserly,

We've had our co-op account for donkeys years. If we ever have a problem, very rare, they deal with it quickly and efficiently. Would reccomend them.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

I have one that i switched to to get an incentive, I then now use it for the everyday rewards, I get £4 from them for doing very little, untill that changes of course. App and online is basic but does what you need it to do, but if you need to they are open 24/7 so you can call them, (Only needed to do this when I have locked myself out of online, and they reset me over the phone within mins)

Moved my bills account over from Halifax recently .
Account running fine, website not quite as slick as Halifax but does everything I need it to and people better than Halifax in branch/on phone.
I moved primarily for the incentive (plus ongoing monthly credit) but not in any rush to leave for the moment. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
