So if he uses Gladstones and the courts does that mean I need to just pay it if I don't want to go to court? I'm happy to send the letter in the sticky thread but i'd rather not end up going to court!

You do not need to just pay it, you need to read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the IPC template you will find there just before the appeal deadline, then wait to see what happens.

I had been there less than five minutes
And parking firms are meant to allow a grace period and it's longer than 5 minutes.

Do you think we are going to agree with the 'I want an easy life, I'm scared of court so I will pay this trash' cop-out? Nope. You REALLY want to line the pockets of this ex-clamper?

If you do, you are sponsoring this nasty business model and funding the next fake PCN against some naive person who has not found this forum like you have. You are here now and you need to realise this parking firm is a rubbish one man band - have you seen anyone here lose a Gladstones case when well defended? I haven't.

Have you seen all the Blogs by the Parking Prankster about Gladstones cases being won by Defendants - it makes good reading, but either way, this bunch are not the sharpest tools in the box, not known for court claims!

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to give you an update, I have sent in the letter from the newbies thread via email to Walton Wilkins (PPL) today. I will update when I receive a response but has anyone else done this and if so how quickly did you hear back? Thanks!

He will say no, this isn't a normal 'appeal' so get on with life for a month. Who cares how long he takes to say no!

When you get a rejection there are no next steps - and don't PAY him!

I was supposed to put my address on wasn't I?! I did anyway so hopefully I haven't messed up already :o Thanks for everyones help
  • So I haven't heard anything back from Walton at premier parking logistics however I visited the same car park yesterday and it is no longer managed by premier parking logistics, all the signage has gone and been replaced with new signage for a different company! PPL had only been there for a very short time, i'm hoping this means tat his little empire is crumbling but I doubt it. Keeping my fingers crossed that he may forget my ticket now ha!
  • even tho he,s not there now , he can stiil go after you ,

might be worth asking the locals or the people who own the land "when did you terminate his contract"

Hi Everyone! I have had a response from Walton Wilkins to the letter I sent (from the newbies thread) so I will put his answers below:

    1) The contract is covered by data protection and is marked as sensitive by the IPC who will not disclose this information to you or any appeal made to them.
    2) Contract
    3) I have enclosed some photographs and all others can be viewed on the website, there is a sign directly in front of your vehicle
    4) All photographs can be viewed on the website
    5) All photographs are timed and dated. They are not linked to any other camera, there is no CCTV on site, and they are not linked to the machine. You did not buy a ticket so time is irrelevant.

You have volunteered your details and debt collection agency and third party companies will contact you in line with IPC and data protection regulations under the protection of freedom act with or without your permission.

So that's how it stands. As I used a template i'm not sure if this is correct or incorrect. From the newbies thread it's unclear what I do next. Any help would be appreciated :)
I also considered complaining to my MP is it worth it?
    Thanks

As well as the above I forget to mention that along with the photographs of my car they also included a photograph of a parking ticket I had purchased the same day in the city centre. The time of expiry on the ticket is 12:51, the time on the PCN from premier parking logistics is 12:37. That day I had driven to the city centre and paid for one hours parking at 11:51, I then walked into the shops (4 minute walk according to google maps) and spent around 20 minutes shopping including a transaction which can be viewed on my bank statement although it doesn't show a time of transaction. I then made the 4 minute walk back to my car. I then drove 15 minutes to the PPL car park (timing confirmed on google maps) and arrived at the car park at around 12:34. The time on my ticket is 12:37, I had been in the car park for a maximum of 3 minutes when the ticket was issued! Could I use this information if I end up in court and is it worth sharing the evidence I have with PPL to avoid them pursuing it further? Thanks again!
